Dude, apparently you never used a product from google, facebook, microsoft, android, or the other several hundred new F2P pc games that use the same damn business model that PGI using. Get over it already. This is how most non-AAA (read this as not CoD, BF, GTA, type games will be funded especially if you want to play them on the PC.

The issue is the funding and development model they are using (and other games now as well). We (as a community of gamers, developers, and publishers; not just MWO) are using a term from an old method that really has no meaning here.

The current game has aspects of an alpha, beta, and published build. Until a new term is invented or the meaning of Beta changes, where we are is just where we are.

The only reason the *BETA* tag is on the game is so they can hide behind it. Period.

Once you start taking money for items, you have cross over from the world of "BETA" to the world of PAYING CUSTOMERS and that means such things as warranties start to apply.

So maybe you need to stop drinking the KoolAid ... then maybe you can remove the wool that PGI has placed in front of your eyes with the word "BETA".
