wow. There were two, if not more, people in that thread that have spent over $1000 in this game so far.

I'm......I'm.....literally flabbergasted. I don't know what to think. I have spent a considerable amount of my time in other threads knocking heads with the P2W crowd saying how my time is more valuable than my money and I should have the ability to short cut some time-dumps in a game with a little cash influx.

But holy carp. I bought Leg. Founders and one time sale of 2500MC. But a grand? On a soft-release beta product? I. AM. NOT. WORTHY. of my Battletech heritage, apparently.

Now, I fully expect to spend over $1000 on MWO....some where around my 8th or 9th year of playing it if it's still around.

what have I bought you ask? mech bays and prem time and a few colors hero mechs? nah none of them are worth their money

$120 for Legendary Founders, based on their promises at the time. No pay to win. Everything purchasable via in-game currency (i.e. $$ serves only as a time saver). No 3rd person view.

They've broken all but one of those promises, and they've said they're going to break that one too, so I'm not spending any more money on this game now. I also feel ripped off over the Founders Mechs, because we were essentially "charged" Hero Mech prices for them and they're not as good as Hero Mechs. They have a long way to go to regain my trust.

I tried to spend money on the game the day it went Open Beta, but the screen glitched out on me. I have decided to wait after that point, as it was a spur of the moment purchase decision that has since faded. Perhaps when the next paint sale comes, or when collisions are back in, or most of the bugs are worked out, I will invest.

I5-3470, 32Gb, 240Gb SSD, 3Gb 7970... all in a nice purdy white case.

Now I just need a new keyboard, using MS Natural 4000 Keyboard which is a few years old, time to find one a little more MWO friendly.

founders pack +$60 in MC+$300 or so on computer upgrades that no other game even comes close to requiring.

After coolant gate I decided they don't want any more of my money.

Eh.

Too damn much. I live the game and the Btech more, but I have got to lay off for a bit. I might pay to keep premium time, I might not. But I think I'll need an UrbanLegend, errrr... UrbanMech Hero, before I drop anymore of significance.

I've been playing the crap outta my free account whilst reliant of Starbucks WiFi in Mexico. Actually, aside from serious fps issues intermittently, been pretty fun grinding. Just finally bought my very own shiny CN9-A with my cadet cash.

Wait.... With hardware upgrades? Eh....... Around 3 grand then in total (new laptop, new desktop, peripherals for desktop required from MWO inspired art..... And... If I find I have a knack for Blender... maybe Another 3"grand for a small 3D printer.
