In the April Creative Update, it is stated that details about DirectX 11 have been announced. The only information that I could find is a vague,'we are working on it.'

Can anyone point me in the direction of some actual information? Thx

The new particle effects seen on Hawken would do well in this game. Imagine that blue particle effect trailing a PPC. Or just more sparks and dmg debris coming off the mechs, just not as overdone as hawken when every step the mech takes theres like a million particles coming off the ground

The last time I saw a word on timing, it was in the distant future. Like the June timeframe or something like that. I think this was posted in the previous Ask The Devs (not the most recent). I'll find the link later tonight and update this post with it.

UPDATE: I searched all the Ask The Devs posts and couldn't find where I saw the timing, other than it was currently "in test". I know I saw a dev mention the timing somewhere though. I might have been in one of the recent interviews. I'll keep looking and if I find the link again, I'll post it here. My recollection was that it's still several months out, though.

I saw a tweet from Bryan Ekman where he said "Production planning today. Discussing lots of improvements from the 3.47 CryEngine integration. #mwo Should go live in May."

I asked if it included DX11, his response was "There are a bunch of DX11 CryEngine fixes."

He also told another person on Twitter that there may be a command chair post incoming.

So it's not a definitive "DX11 is coming in May", but it is a hopeful sign that its not too far away.
