I for one have been waiting a long time for this.
I really hope they release one with an arm mounted AC20.

Anyone else?

They should keep it hero-only. She deserves better than everyone and his neighbor running it.

Looking at the other variants on Sarna, it seems the HM might be the best variant, what with the arm lasers. I can't spend that much money on a pink mech though. I require black, red, white and phranken.

TBH, if they keep with the same number of hard point slots across the board (7) then we don't know what they might add / change on the other variants. Like for instance, the HGN-732 lists 5 weapons, what if they add 2 more energy slots to it. Or the HGN-733 has 3 ballistic slots instead of 2 or 1.

I base this off of the HM which has 2 ballistics, 3 energy, and 2 missle slots currently.

I like my atlas too, I feed on the fear that I cause when I come around the corner and surprise just about any mech but a stalker or another atlas. However, atlas can't fly.
When a highlander comes jumping off a ridge above me firing away, i am filled with this sense of awe. It looks so friggin cool.
Then I promptly alpha half the mech off. But it was cool to watch.

Well if the hardpoints in the mechbay pulled from the XML are what we get we'll get one variant that can mount AC/20 in the RA and they all have 9 hardpoints, 4-5 missile, 0-3 ballistics and 2-5 energy.

Meh. Not as excited as I was about the Jagermech. I'll still buy them, though, since the Flea doesn't interest me at all and I'll have plenty of time to grind up stuff for the Blackjack after I buy the Highlanders.

Although I almost certainly won't be using the JJ's until DFA is implemented... a waste of 4 tons just to hop around a little? No thank you.

I'll probably buy a few to elite, but they seem SLOW. Not really my style. But it will at least let me finish mastering my remaining Stalker, of which I sold the other variants too soon...d'oh!

We need an MC sale soon though, I'm out of mechbays!

Dear god.

Well, I may be getting more than the 2 I was planning on.

The only Highlander's hardpoints detailed in the XML is the Heavy Metal.

We can easily guess what the others are going to be because we know the loadouts of the other four variants.

Three of them have very little, and I mean VERY LITTLE variety. Thus the only thing PGI can realistically do is give them different hardpoint values.

The 733C will probably have three Ballistic slots (as it comes with an AC/20) and greater torso twist/hip pivot in lieu of not being able to move its arms left and right.

The 732 will just have the exact same hardpoint count as the Heavy Metal. So two ballistic, three energy, two missile.

The 733 will in all likelihood have one ballistic, two energy, and three missile.

The 733P is the energy boat, so it is just missiles and energy weapons. If I had to speculate on that one, it will probably have four energy and two missile. Maybe five energy.

Highlanders are the only other assault currently announced that I actually want to play. So far I've been good with the Awesomes but I am greatly looking forward to the Highlanders release.

Now if only we could get some Zeus or Banshee.

If it has 3/4 of the gravitas that the Highlanders did in MW4, this will be the best assault, even better than a Kodiac.
