The last 8 man I dropped in the enemy team was 2 ECM/DDC with ppc/gauss and two Stalker PPC boats huddling together on the high ground while the other four were Raven 3L's running in a pack. I want to bring the mech's I enjoy not be forced into something to have a fighting chance, I wont play another 8 man until they get the match maker fixed.

trebs and cents are two of the best mechs PERIOD. not for their weight class, in the entire game.
how can you NOT see this?

Lobby is all well and good, until they fix the travesty that is their bug catching, it won't matter.
What in the world do bugs have to do with this thread? People are complaining about mediums not having a niche/role, and they WILL have more of a niche/role with tonnage limits. PGI is supposedly implementing tonnage limits along with the lobby, so we'll see how that works at some point.
Until then, you know it's changing, so why complain more?
Of course they need to fix bugs, but you should probably file support tickets if they're new bugs or wait for fixes like everyone else. I fail to see the relevance of that here, though.

You say lobby system is going to fix everything. I say it is irrelevant until bugs are fixed and you actually have all 8 of your team in the match and able to play.
How was that not clear?

That seems kind of backwards. It's not like they get an advantage for choosing XL, it's that they have an innate disadvantage in survivability anyway, so you might as well pick XL. You could pick an XL on the cent too; unlike the treb, the cent has the option of EITHER being more survivable or not.
It's not just their CT, their side torso is also larger than a cent, meaning the cent will do the XL better too. The cent just presents a smaller torso profile overall, which helps no matter which engine you go with.
JJs are nice, but if you're not poptarting, I don't think they really do enough to make up for lower survivability.

I understand you're upset that there are bugs, but bugs are bugs...they'll be fixed. It's not like PGI doesn't understand that people drop/disconnect. They've made posts here on the forums about how they're working to fix the problem. I fail to see how that has anything to do with the thread.
That is, unless you're suggesting that disconnects are making it impossible to test true 8v8? I hardly think that's the case, though it is rather inconvenient for now, obviously.
