I've noticed the Hunchy has an arm laser convergence problem, but its not extreme.

Well, this is a slightly different problem, as the weapons are all fully converged on where the taget is supposed to be (and visually is) and the platform (me) is not moving. You might notice that the laser beams all hit the same spot, however, the spot they do hit is not the spot the crosshairs indicate, but slightly to the left.

I've noticed the same issue with my founders hunchie. I think its been around for a while, I've just kind of learned to play around it.

Did some simple testing with that.

Because of the noHUD Bug i painted a spot onto the center of my TFT.

When shooting with all variants of the Hunchback i did see that the weapons Did hit the correct spot
BUT the crosshair issnt in the correct position ( not on the screencenter).
Its mostly a few pixels left or right of screencenter even while standing still.

The other mechs didnt show such a behavior.

Its a shame because iMo the Hunchies already had a hard stand on the battlefield and
that bug didnt make it easier to survive.

The question would seem to be are the Alpha strikes all landing on the same spot in relation to the reticule? What with all the talk about the want for a less than pinpoint convergence system, perhaps this "bug" is in fact the solution. hmmmm.

This is a known bug. Look closely at the video and you'll see that the targeting reticle is off center to the right.

However, the actual aim point is in the center where it should be, and more importantly everything functions correctly at that point. If you put that invisible point on your target you will get a proper range, for example, while putting the visible targeting reticle on your target will give you an incorrect range because you're actually aiming to the left of your target.

I've actually noticed this with the 4G (F) HB too.

Lasers appear to be ok for me as they shoot from the arms, however, the hunch has appalling accuracy. I can be approx 100m from the target (which is too close for a HB imo) and the crosshair centered on the target, but the actual shot will ALWAYS be off to the left and slightly lower. I've managed to compensate this by shooting slightly up and to the right, but this makes shooting targets that are at a distance much more of a gamble - and with only 1 ton of ammo and twin AC5's, very wasteful. It's always been slightly off, but seems more so than before. Luckily I'm only playing it for the cash at the moment. All it's good for.

What's the best way to send into support? Email?

My Corp just sort of laughed when I told them about this. We all start out in Hunchies, and it's one of the Newbie curses with the Hunchies shooting off center. Happens in the 4P, 4SP and 4H - I've tested. I can take some SS and add to the thread, too.

Either which way you look at it, convergence should be on the reticle, not "straight ahead". Who knows where the heck your arms are pointing if not the reticle, yeah? The other thing I'll try tonight is TAG. We'll see if TAG and the lasers/AC-10 line up

Yeah all the weird aiming in this game can get a bit trying, fires to the left on the hbk. The jagermechs ACs fire higher than the reticle

I did send mine to support months ago and they said it was intended and that torso aiming wasn't supposed to be as accurate as arms. When I told them why this isn't an issue with the rest of the mechs? they just said lets wait for hit box detection to be fixed first....I hope that's a hint that it will be fixed at the same time. Really its not the best response and the ones I got prior to that answer from the devs was just rude

Been like this since CB.

They used to have a known issue about it, but I guess it was never resolved

Sounds like they'll probably not bother to fix it, can't say I'm surprised. We'll just have to pretend it has something to do with the magnets, because Hunchbacks suffer a -2 accuracy to them.

May be OT but in my opinion they are forced to release new content and
dont have the manpower to invest a larger margin of time to fix those annoying bugs.

They should freeze development of new stuff and do the bugfixes now,
because the longer they wait the more difficult it will be in the future (larger Codebase..).

Hrm...I wonder if this is going to be a "quirk" of the Hunchback. Not to point out the obvious, but it is designed to be a short range brawler. (With the exception of the LRM variant).

Medium lasers, AC20's, Small lasers, AC10's, SRMs...are what come stock.

So would it be surprised that if you modify what is in all actuality a "specialty" mech, that there are some quirks that come out?

Just something to think about....Of course it could just be a bug.....
