Jagermech
1. Keypad
2. Red button – weapons
3. Blue button - sensors

All other mechs
1. Keypad
2. Blue button – sensors
3. Red button – weapons

Perhaps that's actually how it was built, and the manufacturer just like's to troll it's customers.

All of them? Really? My Cicadas do not even have a red button. It is a bit different because all the cockpit layouts are different.

Well, aside from some folks sadly insulting people with words like nitpick and nerd, if you are going to do something, you might as well do it right. Especially when it's a simple change of button color. I could be wrong and re-doing the videos might cost a fair amount but in today's graphic intensive world its probably a really cheap and easy fix. BTW, given most every warplane in the world has a red guarded master arming switch and most weapon manufacturer's use red on their safety/arming switches, you might as well use that universal color when it is so well established. As for sensors, green or blue, it's dealers choice, at least in this century.
Either way, human nature and common sense would dictate they would be standardized what ever the color combination chosen.

In my opinion this is serious issue. When I started my first missions with Jagermech I was very exited about it but soon the grim truth revealed it self. From the first time with Jagermech I immediately noticed this illogical behavior. This started haunt me ever since. At the start of every battle I see my self doing the stupidest thing ever. Start my sensors from RED button and weapons from BLUE button. During the match this haunted me to the end. I could not get my self to comprehend how could any mech constructor do this. It is very dangerous nevertheless. God knows what could happen if the startup sequence is accidentally done in wrong order or during the heat of battle one shutdown weapons while trying to restart sensors. Or during the sensor maintenance the mechanic start weapons while leaning over the joystick. Serious accidents could result!

This bugged me many battles until I was forced to sell my Jagermech because of this serious and potentially dangerous design flaw. In my opinion mech designers and constructors is in part liable for any damage caused by this flaw. Common sense clearly states that red means danger and blue or green colors are safe.

I really hope that this serious and potentially dangerous flaw can be fixed soon so I and many fellow MechWarrios can enjoy Jagermech design in future.

Thank you.

Please fix more critical stuff in this game first. Do not waste any time by working on ridiculous details that only a nerd would care about.

I second your petition to totally ignore this issue.

Furthermore, we should keep the mix-up: It will allow those players too closely immersed into the game to tell it apart from reality.

Red button? Blue button?
Red pill? Blue pill?
Coincidence?
No.

I agree. I put blue tape on the red button and blue tape on the red button, and crossed out this nonsense in the TM I keep in my sponson box and wrote in the correct startup procedure.

Has anyone seen the startup sequence of a Kintaro? It will destroy all your dreams.
