How about we fix the content that we have first? Knockdowns have been in limbo since time immemorial, and machineguns/lbx/flamers have been poopy even longer (although they have gotten some inconsequential tweaks, much like the good-but-not-enough ECM tweaks that are upcoming).

Missiles still need fixing, although I get the impression that those are going to be fixed relatively soon...

Short-sighted investors and fans. That's all I can say in that regard.

In all honesty, with the current state of the game, they'd better give a damn about any schedule. It's done when it's done. And it's only done if it works well.
That should be their approach, and tends to work a lot better than releasing unfinished or untested stuff.
Aren't there more than enough horrible examples of what happens if you do it wrong, when you rush broken content or badly tested code?

Remember that all the content added to the game requires a programmer to add the code for it, so more content reduces the time that the programmer can search/fix bugs..

If you guys are truely fans of MechWarrior and live or work near PGI, after work, you should go over and test and decode the game out of the goodness of your hearts. Programers and Coders I mean.

Anyway the thing is that stuff have to be done in order... you can not just change stuff willy-nilly so a big chunk of bug fixes might be waiting for one crucial thing. and that thing in turn might have to wait for other systems to be in place... So to put it simply.. They are most likley fixing stuff as fast as they can

Scripts.pak, anyone can look (and fix it), its a great example of how programming shouldn't be done.

Half of the community: Darn you PGI, there's not enough content! Hurry up already! I want more maps, or this game is going to suck!
Other half: Darn you PGI, you release this game with so many bugs! Slow down and fix them already!
