What happened? Where'd the testers go? Is PGI just throwing stuff into production now without any care?
This patch is deplorable. The game is broken.
List of problems from this patch I have NEVER seen before:
Tripping Balls/Kaleidoscope bug
No user name bug
No targeting info / carat / box bug
Red crosshairs over my crosshairs with random text (?????????)
List of problems that have increased substantially:
Map bugs -- swirly colors and no bitmap graphic. It is just squares that are blank or like a bad rainbow trip.
And more!
The list could go on but right now I'm a little miffed.
Before we'd have random no-map bugs and occasional yellow-screen. Now it is just chaos. I never know what kind of new bug I'm going to get.

Oh, my map didnt show up once and I played it off as fighting in an emp. Kinda made it epic.

The patch was hilariously ill-conceived and poorly tested, but I find that post hotfix I'm running ok.

Just pretend that it is a Mech Sim game and you are dealing with the problems that come with using a 100 year old war machine that people can't reliably fix.

So maybe Q&A is not using crappy computers like everyone else...

Pretty much the same, don't overly like posting in these thread as it will only lead to "BS" flame posts but i've seen maybe 6 bugs in the last 100 drops, all minimap/throttle line bugs with the 1 exception of a CTD when i got hit with lrms.

Yes, I'm running the latest drivers and yes I have cleared the shader cache but it isn't our systems - it's the last patch which broke the game.

At the moment the game is nearly unplayable for me

My big pet peave is the radar/sensor display....it simply does not work at any kind of level that has any reliability whatsoever...
I play a missile game....and that required radar to work right...radar in this game is totally random...and cannot be depended upon at all. You have no ability to run through your own teammates position on the radar...key for commander and team strategy when you get to faction vs faction team play....
In addition...the location of enemy players is totally completely random...I have enemy players with non ecm equipped medium, heavies, and assaults pop up on my 6 unannounced virtually every game....There is no ecm mech there...just a radar that is so flawed that it cannot even pick up a slow assault coming around to my location. My first notice is it blowing my back off.
That is a serious flaw...I assume that the dev team will make this a priority...because without decent radar...you are reduced to playing a total line of sight game....which is what is occurring out there anyway...a los sniping and dance of death game...
This btw is NOT battletech which reflects a combined unit arms concept that is very balanced. Each type of mech loadout is balanced by a counter mech that can effectively hit that mech hard.
Right now...this game has nice graphics...but the mechanics are just not battletech...you have only a los missile game that is nerfed to pieces...and the worthless sensor suite gives every other type of mech a decisive advantage...because there is no reliable warning for a "sneak" attack..
Just hope the dev team can get the balance working here...cause this game deserves it.
