It'd be especially complicated now that there have been sales. Do you refund the sale price, or the retail price? On the sale price, PGI loses money. On the retail price, you find yourself unable to rebuy the things you have already bought.

what purpose or balance would a reset create? There is no community economy to speak of and no advantage 100 millions of cbills would provide.

Oh ******* christ no. I'd hate to have to regrind the two dozen mechs I own right now and god knows what else I'll own by the time release hits later this year.

A stat wipe, however, would be quite appropriate.

If this was a game I made, and I had communicated in advance that it could/would happen, I'd probably do it.

Of course, I would refund all MC and probably give Open Beta participation rewards to blunt the effect on Open Beta players that just lost all their progress.

But they stated that the wipe moving to Open Beta was the last one, so, no.

An optional full account reset, mc/xp and all, would 100% remove the annoyance that myself and any other founders I know have felt about being pushed into a frustrating open beta.

Votet for no, but...

If PGI gives me EVERY single MC i ever purchased in the game AND the whole amount of C-Bills to buy the the mechs i had,i see no problem in grinding XP again. A sensor more or less, 10% more Torso Twist or Cooldown time reduction does't really matter to me if we all start from the same point.

You spent your MC, no one forced you to, now you want the new latest and greatest but you don't
want to spend the money on it.

Tough luck.

Why do you keep targeting me KingDerp out of all the people who feel the same? I'm not saying "RESTORE MY MC NOW BECAUSE YOU BEGUILED ME PGI AND IF YOU DON'T I'LL LEAVE FOREVER!"

I'm saying it would BE NICE to have my MC so I can choose camo instead of buying all three dragon mechs with MC because I once thought that and Premium Time was its only function. Yes blah blah I should've waited and yes it was my decision.

In total I've purchased three or four MC packages to buy two hero 'mechs and paints (I thoroughly enjoyed the sale on the specific camo paints :P) because I wanted them, and most possibly I may well buy another one so I can buy more paints and hero 'mechs when the next sale's on.

I'm simply saying "Yes" to the original post. I fully understand PGI will most definitely not be doing this. Now please don't hurt me and my family.

See you out on the battlefield.

The people who have done it all and have little advancement to look forward to could probably use a complete reset (refunds on the spent MC cause that would start such a mayhem PGI would be in court for years). But for completely selfish reasons as I'm not one of the people to "have seen it all" I certainly don't want a reset... I have limited gaming time now-a-days and as such, wouldn't want to start from scratch again.

Besides most of my current "stuff" bought with MC, have been bought from the sales and as such, I couldn't even get the stuff I have now with the refunded credits. Although there are few puchases I could use a refund on...

If they reset you'd never see me again.

Also, this is not beta.

I would rather have a 16penny nail driven through my left ******** than to grind out the spdr-5k or spdr-5v again

Exactly why I'm against a reset: no free passes for past ignorance, suck it up and live with it.
