Quick question though - does Artemis count as 'semi-stock'? My Founder's Cat is still sitting with 2 LRM15s + Artemis and 4 medium lasers... close enough, right?

I will probably give this a try if I can get a microphone before then. Sounds fun. As I live in a rural area I can't simply walk out and buy something so let's hope shipping can be swift.

Yes it is ok to use ARTEMIS because it is NOT configured in "weapon systems"

Remember a mic is t needed - you can use text chat in the TS lobbies, but you'll still hear other people talking.

Is there any way you'd be able to keep track of how many people swing by for the event? I'd love to see this as a staple part of the game, and I think if you can show high attendance numbers to PGI they may listen.

I'll try to drop by at least. A bit late for me on a Sunday night since I'm in Europe, but I whould be able to get a few games in at least before I have to grab some sleep before work. I'll probably be bringing my STK-3F since that one's already got the stock weapons loadout. Heck, it's the mech I use normally in regular games and I never bothered changing it from it's regular 2 LL, 4 ML, 2 LRM-10, 2 SRM-6 configuration. Just added endo, armor, double sinks and a slightly bigger engine to bring it up to a blistering 50-something kph.

We'll keep spreading the good word. I'm on the fence about allowing mod's amongst ER/Pulse/Reg. I like the idea of allowing Artemis mods and AMS.

Not against all the other stock builds who will also be overheating. When everyone has a heat issue, it isn't a huge deal.

of course, but i didn't use it to keep the rules simple. my conern would be those that are not battletech experts. they will question seeing a variant that doesn't exist in game. examlple: a STK-3F running streaks (STK-3Fk).

i'll update the OP and i'll put this info. in the TS lobby info. too. if you run a non-MWO variant, just share the link with everyone in the TS chat window.

I just realized PST is not 6 hours behind CET like I first thought. It's 9 hours behind, which means it won't be midnight here when this thing starts, but rather 3 AM at night. I'm afraid that's just a wee bit too late for me considering I have to get up for work at 6 AM, so I'm gonna have to miss out on it this time around. I'll just have to be there for the next one instead assuming it happens at a somewhat more convenient time for those of us on the right side of the Atlantic.

Me too. I got called in last night and was rather pissed. This saves the day, so to speak.

P.S. As to the BattleTech Web link, I assumed PGI started all MWO chassis with whatever Stock values that are found on the wiki site? And players would be using only MWO chassis, even if they called them something else...
