Right now all this crappy 1980s racial-stereotyping lore and faction is doing nothing for the game except giving the people an excuse to insult one another in some racist form or another. (In-game observations). There is no distinction between them so far as I know even in the yet implemented community warfare. So how about more XP and CBills for those lone-wolf or mercs, less for those in faction houses but they earn faction points which lets them gain access to faction houses specific pilot trees and mech upgrades or special house-specific mech chasis and weapons?

I'm all for it.
We get to keep all the Ravens except for 2X, all the Cataphracts except for 3D and all Catapults except for K2.
See how utterly imbalanced it would be because of how good our national mechs are?
