So, I am really enjoying my Heavy Metal. Good hardpoint layout for me (do wish there was more in the right torso but oh well), the Jump Jets for shooting over obstacles or making it more of a challenge for the opponents to hit me, to taking short cuts/popping up behind enemy LRM boats.

I was told that the look of the left arm changes with different weapons... where as I really only noticed there were changes going on with the right arm... so I think to myself, I would like to see how it looks with the PPC's. Removed the XL and the arm weapons, and started looking at them all.... Didn't really like how spread out the PPC points were... however I DID like how it looked with the flamer barrels. Then a concept came to mind, you see, I have to admit I am one of the many Metal owners that move their arms around, rocking out when the music plays. So I think, what if I do MORE then that. What if I put my left arm up and use flamers as a lighter

So, I went from this HEAVY METAL to this HEAVY ROCKER

Now, I actually want to do MORE then just this, I want to add to this. So I am on the waiting list for both melee weapons and cosmetics. I want to get a wig for it and an axe shaped like a guitar. I can even imagine what it would be like for this machine holding a guitar in the left hand above it's head, with the flamers flaming the air.

P.S. If anyone can actually draw up a picture of that, I would be rather appreciative

Flamer? I guess it makes sense from a thematic standpoint, but ewwww.

I have to agree. Most mechs never actually get close enough to each other to make it a viable weapon even IF it did something worth while.

The flamers are there mainly for show, but there have been a surprising amount of times where I have actually used them on other mechs, and they were ACTUALLY USEFUL. Infact in alpine, a hunchback decided he didnt want to be so close to me, so he got out of the flamer range, and his mech was golden.
