It's BETA, it's still BETA so you know what lets ******* try it for once. JUST Try it. I'd be fine if we had hard data to back up their stance that showed MG's being abused, but there isn't
The is one Dev saying imagine what a spider with 6mg's could do standing behind the torso of a Atlas. Kind of like imagine what a Jenner with 6 medium lasers could do standing beind an atlas.
Not only is it a silly hypothetical it's a inaccurate one, there isn't a spider that mounts six ******* machineguns you would think you would know that. Spider-5k can only mount up to 4.
I love PGI for it's brilliance and it does do some good things but I absolutely hate the ******** of MG's, ECM and streaks and their stubborn refusal to accept common sense in the face of overwhelming reality.

I have expressed the same opinion in other threads. They need to learn to "just try things" for a day or two and see how they work out. A temporary damage buff to Machine Guns will either make the SDR-5K hideously over-powered and the forum will fill up with QQ threads about them, or it won't. That data is needed. It's a lot better to try things like this during "beta" than post-release.

I just don't get it. On one hand, they're willing to introduce something completely OP into the game just to see how players react to it, but on the other hand they're completely unwilling to even experiment with trying to make a weapon useful. FFS they put in two variants, Cic-3C and SPD-5K that have 4 ballistics hardpoints, which are obviously meant to house machine guns, but the refuse to actually allow machine guns to do damage.

They've repeatedly told us that balance, new content, and bug fixes are done by separate groups of people. Is it wrong to hold the balance people accountable for their job?
