Would you, and maybe you already have, in which case beat me with a stick, post the hex changes you made on your card? I think I remember you saying you had a Nvidia? I would love to check these mods myself on my system and see what sorts of results I could attain.

Thanks a ton and thank you for the continued amazing shots!

Ok, first off.

Request for imput.

Which would you prefer, for me to

A: Post raw images (no editing, just post what the game has to offer)
B: Continue editing with the current program I have been.
C: use the new program I just got which has TONS more features.

And then finally, Continue in 2880x1800, or drop back to 1920x1200.

First picture: Unedited
Second pisture: already posted
Third picture: using new program, and still leaning its in and outs.

Spoiler

Input appreciated.

Spoilers added. And it was a fairly spontaneous thing. No real planning involved beyond the "LOL. We dropped 8 Trial Hunchbacks" "So did we..."

One spoiler was all that was needed. Thanks! But yesh definitely a fun idea.

Hey Lordred the Pics with the new programm are damn AWESOME!!!! Also the 44 pics on the site before. The Flamer ilya looks really cool and the 4x also. Like the way you manage to click in the right moments. Cant wait for tuesday to see the Dragonslayer. I buy for sure. The Dragonslayer is for sure a fantastic object for screenis!
This is one of the best threads ever.
Ah Koniving,a question for your other thread. Do i understand it correct, that you want to do vids about the history and chassis details of some Mechs? My english is not so bad but its sometimes hard to understand, especially when there are specific words. In every case, keep goin on with your fantastic threads.

Awesome thread, wish I'd stumbled in here and found it sooner. Lots of sick shots, guys! I've been taking screenshots of this game since last year, so I'll try to sort them out and resize them, then post 'em in here a bit later .

Hi Lordred

I'd like to see more using the new program in 2880x1800.

Thanks for taking the time to do the work and post here. This is the best place to find an image to use as my desktop background.

Feel kinda guilty that I've enjoyed your screenshots for so long without posting...

Firstly, amazing work. I know that it's not very constructive criticism and almost everyone says it, but it's true. Your work is amazing.

Now, as for input regarding whether or not to use the new program, my personal preference is for you to use the new program. To my eye, not only does the detail look crisper, but the colors also look more natural. One would rarely see a yellow sky in real life (I know it's supposed to be an alien planet), but a colorful landscape and rich blue horizon both looks more believable and is more pleasing to the eye. The only downside to this program that I can see just by looking at the images, is the fact that the LRMs look more like clouds than missiles.

Finally, the choice between 2880x1800 and 1920x1200 is not something I can offer much opinion on, since the two resolutions do not look very different to me (this is without looking at the full sized image, obviously), but there are others who obviously appreciate 2880x1800, such as the above poster.

Hope this is the sort of input you wanted and again, amazing work.

Personally, I prefer them unedited, because they show what the game is capable of. It could be capable of more, sure, but it's pretty as is, personally.

The new editing program shot does look nice, though, so you can post those shots too - I just think it would be nice if you posted the unedited version too. (Though maybe that's just me.)

the feedback is apprecieated.

I will consider uploading the raws, but keep in mind thousands of pictures @ 2880x1800/10mb ea, I'll more than likely only upload the raws of the one I set off to the side to do the edits to, further more I might use something like dropbox for the raws while leaving the edited shots on my personal webspace.

I noticed that only after I did the first one, the program is still brand new to me, (Capture One 6) and I am still figuring out what I can / cannot do with it.

I have already learned a little just messing with some of the ones I have done already, but I think for the most part rather then re-editing all the ones I have done already, I will wait for a fresh batch to work with.

First = First attempt
Second = Second attempt

Dropbox to all of the raws. (sorry to disapoint, I shrunk the 2880x1800's to 1920x1200 for file size, and I passed them though a 90% quality to keep filesize down as drop box is limited to 2gb, and I am sure I will find myself up on that soon enough.)

Adding to first post as well.

Oh wow, that's fantastic. I just spent a good hour clicking through and looking at every shot; there's some really good images in there which I had completely forgotten about. Thanks for doing that.

New favorite thread. Awesome pictures and very little bitching about the game (I think. I was kinda distracted by the awesome pictures)

Super little. We focus mainly on the pictures, and/or basking in spreading "I'm that Awesome with the flamers being so awesome in the picture." There's other threads for complaints.

Lordy, what software do you use for the pictures?

Do you notice pixelation of the images in particular the background when you open them up - i have this issue editing with photoshop, i have to have a set zoom on the image otherwise photoshop makes the image grainy, (e.g. it could be fine at x1, then at x10 its grainy but fine again at x100 zoom) its all very odd.

Still playing with values on my card, just out of curiosity what card do you have? Mine is a couple of years old now....
