Yuck. Too bad it didn't work.

ya I was disapointed also.

However, this is why you should fear the Commando 2D, one Small Laser and 3x SRM2 (not Streak)

400+ damage with the HUD off :P

What's scary is most people don't notice that because when things are moving that actually 'kinda' helps with the jagged, edgy lines (aliasing) that still prominently shows even with the AA turned on. Though lately using the AA modes have helped deal with that blur (for a change; used to have to turn them off to get rid of the blur).

Now you have to turn them on. I can't get rid of it without going DX 11 and MSAA and even then while I don't have an actual performance hit, any time I'm shot by a missile the game locks up for a second or two at a time (which then leads to me teleporting and being completely lost as to what happened) when the game adds the missile blur.

For this reason I absolutely hate the frequency of LRM and SRM spam on this game and have been pioneering to have them do double damage but fire half as often. (That and a series of 4 launchers are lobby high explosive missiles faster than machine gun bullets for equal damage per missile to 11 machine bullets; it's kind of a sick joke). Though I'd be content with just the removal of the blur effect that occurs when missiles are spammed.

Said missile blur effect.
Spoiler

As you can see the missile style blur is only partial screen, but it is troublesome for my twin set of Radeon 6870.

Thankfully in videos at 1280 x 720, you can't really tell it's happening when the viewer and the target are both moving.

Man, the old battle damage textures where so much better than the birdshit textures we have now. I desperately wish it was - like a High Res Texture Pack - an option you can turn on, performance be damned.

The Centurion in particular had outstanding battle damage textures. Really fantastic.

Okay so while this sale is still going on.. I could use new patterns.

So what mechs would you want to see (included in the sale) and what patterns? Bring some of your friends in to throw some ideas down. Screen cap your mechs with said patterns perhaps? Lets see what you've got, 'cause tomorrow the sale ends.

I've allotted enough to get 4 patterns (and already own many patterns so you might not be as 'left out' as you might think if you suggested something I might already have).

Is it sad that I had to go and look up what was on sale?

I don't know how the patterns look on most of the mechs - they are kinda out of my budget, so I only have 2 patters on 2 chassis (one on Commando one on Centurion)
...Not counting the Pheonix Hot Rod.

Probably could get bonus points from some players for making a Spider on fire - but I don't know whether that would be worth it.

Trebuchet maybe?

Honestly, I want to give some feedback/critique to Lordred, but his technique and set up are far better than what I would expect, and I have nothing to say right now.

oh man I wish that the arms of the Catapult would size down depending on what you have in it. But that looks sexy.

I never noticed the Protector had SLDF on it's arm. That is pretty cool.

Banshee has all 2k res body.rgb files for every camo
The mech + every camo for the Banshee weighs in @ 152MB

The Griffin has all 1k res body.rgb files every camo (Phoenix excluded)
The mech + every camo for the Griffin weighs in @ 113MB

We have 29 Mechs in the game

Excluding Founders, Phoenix Mechs, and Heros.

average for 2k res body.rgb's would be about 4,408MB (4.4GB) for all 29 mechs
average for 1k res body.rgb's would be about 3,248MB (3.2gb) for all 29 mechs

(That's total amount on your computer in an unpacked state.)

Just some numbers.
