hey i went into the mwo recruitment lobby in vent and i waited for a couple hours. i tried to contact some people in the vent for assistance but i couldnt get a hold of anyone. Probably just was online at a bad time. Is there any other way i could possibly get a hold of someone. Cant wait to be a part of AOD. thanks for you time and consideration, I just wanted to let you all know im very interested and not just slacking off on my end.

I'll make a point of being online every two hours beginning at 2 est today, Sunday, 1/20.

A training room would be fantastic as well. We need maps, game play, and bug fixes not new mechs right now.

Actually Deacon, I'm not so sure about this go around. I posted your interest in our officer's section 2 nights ago, and no one has stepped up yet. Our 3 regular battle leaders have stepped away from the game for a bit for some RL duties, but are expected back shortly. It's getting a little close to the fact now to schedule something for this weekend.. Perhaps next weekend?

I'm not sure about you guys, but we in AOD are actually getting a little less enthusiastic about scrims and tournament participation without a training room to prepare properly.

Let me know if you want to aim for one next weekend.

Best wishes....

Reinholt

Scrimmages are a form of preparation. You can't run drop configurations against pug waves of 4-6+ Atlai, but with another team willing to drop the same types of weight classes brings it little closer. We are around this weekend and next weekend. We may also have a scrimmage against Widowmaker next weekend, along with our RHOD drops this weekend and next weekend. Drops are better than no drops, so we are using our time wisely. Get in contact with me ASAP, via PM or this thread.

Our MWO forums have a joke of the day thread. Here's my latest submission....

Posted Image
The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because she had just gotten married for the fourth time. The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation. "He's a funeral director," she answered.

"Interesting," the newsman thought.

He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living. She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that she had first married a banker when she was in her 20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, and a preacher when in her 60's, and now - in her 80's - a funeral director.

The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had married four men with such diverse careers.

(Wait for it)

She smiled and explained,

"I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go."
