Is there an AC/20 involved? A gauss? 3x machineguns ^_^?

I just stripped the armor off a jagermech's arms and machineguned the hell out of them both and he still managed to keep his gauss rifle....

... and btw, my 4x Ultra Autocannon Jagermech plays exactly like I had hoped my Hunchback 4G would, aside from the jamming.

2LLs 1ML, a 260 engine with as many heatsinks as possible plus an AMS with how ever many rounds I had the tonnage left for.

Hunchbacks with ballistics are so slowwwww.

The "Stockback"

The ol' girl was my bread and butter through Closed Beta (sans the upgrades, so smaller engine + less heat capacity) and has remained so to this day. Always dependable, she's a real workhorse. A favorite mech of mine.

Ac/20 3 tons ammo, 3 MLs, full armor except legs (31 each there), STD 225 - 12 total DHS. Works well for me, Goes 72.9 before speed tweak

has to be bugged, I cant land any ballistic hits with the hunch even though cannons have been my main mwo weapon via atlas since the beginning, never see anyone else talking about it so maybe its just me :S

3 ac5s. I tried it at the end of closed beta in a 'hey, what the heck' moment, and it ended up being more entertaining then I expected. I still want to try 3ac2 really bad on that thing.

lol ****, i still don't think the hunchies cannon meets the crosshair at the same distance it does on an atlas, but whatever hunchies suck >^_^

Could you show me on smurfy? I'd love to try this.

Alone? Yeah. In a pack, or teamed up with another, larger mech? They're one of the deadliest mechs in the game. Slipping an AC20 behind your unsuspecting opponent while he's having a slap fight with your allied Atlas is incredibly potent.

My best when it had a fast engine with a gauss that could take a hit.

Yup, that's the one I used on my founder's hunch as my first mech in Open Beta.
I did add 3MGs and a ton of ammo at one point, mainly to annoy people with hud flicker.

Of course then I did the same thing on a Hunch-P but with 6 small lasers in the hunch additional and started seriously owning...

2 x LL
1 x ML
3 x MG (because fun)
Std 255

When HSR for ballistics is implemented, I might look at this again. For now, the chassis is a bit of a boat anchor.

My best 4G build is.... a 4H with 2 MLAS, 3 SLAS and an AC20. All with a 250 engine which still gives a lot of speed.
The hump is smaller on the 4H as well, so there is that. ^_^

But if you MUST use a 4G (i.e.- it is your founder mech), I would go with the tried and true...
HBK-4G

90kph is far from slow. :)

The major downside is you have to pick one of three:
1.ammo
2.speed
3.armor

Since it's geared toward sniping, though, speed and armor aren't as big an issues theoretically. The armor has to be gimped quite a bit though. Go ahead and play around with it in smurphy, this is just the default that I used.

Hmmmm Theres no way to have double heatsinks is there?

Tinkered with Smurfy and got this.

I tried to make this when crit seeking was put in to test it out.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...00b6cc327de001b
I spent a while tinkering and thought it was gonna be fun to run in hot using the AC20 and Medium Lasers as can openers then get in close to use the no heat machine guns to wreck the internals (which apparently doesnt happen anyway) but i got owned by the 10 heatsink requirement stupid rule. Id still so make this build even if MG's are still pretty bad if i could.

I dont understand why you can have 10 standards heat sinks only but not 9 double heat sinks which are way more effective at dissapating heat than 10 standards would be is there some sort of reason that came from the tabletop game or something for this?

I run it with a gauss and 3ML and a standard 225 engine and really like it. If only the gauss would not shoot half a mm left to the crossair. It's a problem over bigger distances. And an old one at that. ^_^

It's a TT rule.
The TT rule predated DHS, and wasn't amended to only require 5 DHS.

It comes down to this, in TT all engines included 10 free heatsinks. For small engines some had to be mounted externally to the engine, but they still weighed nothing.
MWO did some tinkering with weights of components: specifically including Gyro and Cockpit weights in Engine weight, and removing the weight of non-included heatsinks.
If you didn't need to include those extra Heatinks, up to 10 total, their engine weights wouldn't work properly.
