Back when there were collisions, I was running some variant of a CPLT and had no functional weapons/ammo. The last enemy was a light mech running streaks, and after he shot his last few rounds at me he was empty. His friends were slow assaults and headed to capture our base, so I went to capture their base. The light mech stood on their base to prevent the capture, so I started ramming him. Three or four times. Until he died.

Nothing since has come close.

When knockdowns were in, trapped a hunchback in one of the U shaped buildings on rivercity.

Just stopped throttle atop of him and basically crushed him to death.

Blew off a dual AC/20 Jagermech's leg in my Cicada 3M. The fates smiled on me, because the ammo stored there cooked off. And it cooked off more ammo. Which cooked off even more.

In the space of about a second the side of my screen was totally filled with "component destroyed" messages as the unfortunate Jagerbomb more or less disintegrated in front of my eyes. I don't think a single item on that unfortunate mech survived. It was beautiful. :D

In my Jager-A with dual AC/10 on Alpine Resource.
They had 1 left (commando) and were capping our base and were ahead on resources by a lot.
Me and one other turned around and headed back.
The Commando started running and I got a single shot kill to the head just before he went behind a hill (we would've lost him at that point).
We would've lost had he got away!

Frozen City, post missile nerf, an Atlas D that my lancemates and I had be working on backed down over the hill at they saddle by the D3 cave exit. All his weapons were good, but he was nearly cored out. I was in rough shape in my TBT-7M, but I decided to charge over the hill after him anyways. I hit my jets just before I crest the hill and hit him with with my lasers followed by dumbfiring my LRM 10 at exactly 180 meters while near the peak of my jump. My Streak got lock just before the LRMs arrived and so I fired it too. The instant before the Streaks land the LRMs cover the Atlas in explosions, a shower of sparks and smoke shoot out from its chest, and it begins to topple backwards. Most satisfying LRM kill, ever.

Believe it or not, I was about to post the exact same thing.

Wait... How does one see red triangles behind oneself...?

Teammates spot it?
Comon dude :D

** more specifically:
A previous instance occurred where I was watching the minimap and saw a red triangle surrounded by my team appear behind me... I died in that instance because I assumed my team would take care of it (they didn't).
This prompted me to turn and check the red triangle appearing on the minimap behind me every time I see it and lo and behold it was a splatcat, rushing the tunnel like the previous game, looking for me to 1-shot me in the back.

I think you assumed I meant a red triangle on the screen when I meant on the minimap.

I was in the Tourmaline Desert, in a Treb that had been beaten to hades and fully disarmed. I was the last man on our team, but I was running a 325XL so I went for broke and tore off towards the enemy base. I get there to find it guarded by a single raven, which had been legged when our lights had tried to take the base earlier. It's remaining leg was crimson with critical internal damage, no armor. There was nothing for it but to power on through, so I max my throttle and juuuust goose my jets as I cleared a crystal formation, and came thundering down on the Raven causing the leg to buckle and the kill marker to pop up.

I had about 15 seconds left on the cap when the two heavies chasing me showed up and interrupted the cap, so I stepped out from behind the base pylon and stood facing him like like a man while I shook my mouse to wave my arms all crazy like, at which point I exploded from incoming ordnance.

I also want to say I was witness to two of the most godly rampages I've ever seen (by other pilots/random puggers).

1 - Was a hunchback who had his hunch shot off and was down to medium lasers - who proceeded to kill the entire enemy team (5 of them) by himself through some of the most skillful medium mech piloting I've ever seen.

2 - Cataphract 3-D pilot vs the world. Sure, it was a poptart build but the guy played his *** off and killed 7 people after it was an 8 on 1 game. The last pilot literally RAN from him the remainder of the match until time ran out. It was kind of ridiculous but totally worth the time spent watching.

Side note: reminds me of the time I shot through all my ac20 jager ammo (4 kills at that point) and a YLW ran out the clock on a conquest map by running from my small lasers XD. Ironically in a straight up fight I think he'd have beat me (2x ML vs 2xSL, no contest) but he seemed pretty wigged out I'd just killed an awesome and highlander with finishing shots from the small lasers (woo personal best, 2 small laser kills in 1 match). So yeah. Good times. This game can be frustrating but moments like that are totally worth it.

Coring a full health Atlas with nothing but a single small laser in my commando. Took a good 5 mins though.

Was brawling it out in my dual gauss jager (glass canon anyone?) with a cataphract. I thought I would die right there, especially when that splatcat came on my left, turning around a corner almost point blank. I reflexively turned and put 2 gauss rounds in his cockpit, went back on the cataphract and managed to core him.

I honestly did not deserve either kills.

Most satisfying kill ... Not many to my name, but the ones I have I can be proud of.

A long time ago, back when I owned a Cicada, I ran across a lone Cat A1 providing fire support. 2 LRM10's, 4 SSRM2's. Too bad I had ECM and a single LL operational. Sat right in front of him hitting his cockpit, as he accepted his fate and powered down.

Dumbfire weapons, folks ... Don't leave home without them.

What is your most satisfying kill? Is it headshotting that splatcat or harrassing that 6 ppc stalker to death? Tell me about it!

It has happened a few times now, and it's funny every time.

I'm beat up and about to die. I fire something with travel time (LRMs, PPCs, whatever) at my tormentor and he returns fire with lasers, kills me, then dies when the weapon I fired arrives.

HA!

On Alpine, in my Highlander. Spider was harassing me (quite well), I nailed his leg with 2 SRM6s, blew it off. Then I dropped an Arty Strike on his head. It died. I cheered and laughed so hard I almost ran out of bounds.

(The spider was already a wreck, the Arty was really just because I could, but it was still awesome)

Well..my most satisfying kill of late was in a close match in River City Night that came down to just me alive on my team, in my Dragon-Flame, and a Hunchie and Atlas alive on the other team. We were all in the water under the bridge, and I managed to kill the Hunchback, and then had to face off against the Atlas. We were both hurting, but with my team cheering me on, I hugged the big hunk of ugly metal, blasted him with my LB10X and SRM6 from point blank range, then managed to get enough distance to circle and strafe with 4 medium lasers. I was about done for, but faced off with his CT one more time to hit with the LB10x and SRM combo and the ******* collapsed at my feet. Was exciting.

Shot a raven 3L in the face with and AC20 and it did a backflip while flying through the air. It was hilarious.

I was running my PPC Stalker on Caustic Valley Assault a while ago. The match starts and the normal both teams run to the crater for snipefest happens. I see an Atlas inside of an ECM bubble so I assume it's him. I go to blast a torso and disable the ECM to see what the rest of the team is made of. Well the first shot of the game I fired a 4 PPC alpha, and hit the poor Atlas in the head. I actually felt bad until my team still lost.

EDIT: I just remember a Dragon I killed in River City. I was in my Cataphract 3D that has 2 gauss rifles. We started lower city, their whole team went upper except this one Dragon who stayed behind in their base. He was just shooting his 1 LRM 10 (because some people apparently think this is the right way to play a Dragon) so I blast his exposed potbelly.

Then I see this in the all chat: "**** off sniper ***!"

So now I decide I will just charge him and brawl at close range to show him the error of his ways. Cored his CT in the back with 1 shot and he panics and runs into the river. My friend come flying around in his Raven and does what a good Raven does by being annoying. I take another shot at his back while he is distracted and he drops. He then blames the Raven. I still remember his name so I can single him out in the future because if there is one thing I hate it's the "WAAAH I DIED WAAAH!"

I only have 9 kills to my name at the moment but my satisfying so far has been my first. It was the map with mountains and snow i don't remember the name of it, but Hunchback was getting hit pretty hard on top of one of the mountains and took a bad step and slid done the one side. I got my bearings again and turned around to see a lone Catapult limping is way back to cover. I put one A/C 20 round through and watched him explode.

BOOM IS GOOD
