There is but it's in one of those old Mercenary Rulebooks or A Time of War, and I'm too lazy to go dig it out ATM.

Heh. Now you gave me an interesting retweak of Assault mode. Imagine taking out an enemy team's DROPSHIP on the ground....with LIVE weapons. :D

Oh yeah. I can remember at least one mission from an earlier Mechwarrior game where you had to take out dropships. I can remember them exploding into huge floaty pieces of debris. Good times.

Total matches played x Accumulative Cbills per match

2434 x 171643.56 = 417780425 total cbills earned.
Yeah I think I'll need more for clan tech.

I am pretty sure there is going to be a HUGE money sink in CW, like investing in planetary defences, bombardment, building space stations, hangars, hiring mercs, investing in R'n'D to get clan tech etc. etc.

if i recall correctly, a few houses only let their officers gain ranks by letting them pay a given amount of cbills.
say, if you want to improve your rank from sargeant to the next higher rank in the command line, you have to pay 5.000.000 cbills from your bank account.
which is a quite effective system i think. if you are on duty, you gain cbills, you can spend them to gain a rank and earn even more cbills on the higher rank in the long run or go to the magistracy canopus and have some fun wid dem ladies. its up to you.

I'm outfitting many mechs and storing them away, so my ancestors in the dark ages will be able to rule a system with an iron fist when they open Old Grandpa Pervy's hanger and discover over 50 mechs, customized to the gills, all in perfect condition with awesome paint jobs.

I like the idea of buying drop ships. Can almost afford two. Must grind more cbills and collect them all!

I have 31 mechs with dhs and 28 million cbills in the bank.

Probably waiting until clan tech, and probably going to clean house soon and get rid of the two trebuchets and two hunchbacks clogging up space. Might get rid of the Jagers as well.

Half a billion? Impressive. ;)

Here's the goal you have to reach to buy one of each: 23,911,793,408 C-Bills.

since right now mechs and weapons are the only thing that we can spend C-bills on and with the 1 mech a month release, stock the owned mechs so I don't have to play shade tree mechanic every time I switch to something else, and save for the next tool of destruction that makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. If/when they bring out more options for C-bills ( imagine something will be added besides consumables that will help balance the need for $$$ making us all play more )

Why save? Because I'm expecting my Kodiak to cost upwards of 90,000,000CB, and if I want to master them I need 3...

Let's see. Probably booze, hookers, spliff, condoms, crack, daddy gear, a flash car, an aircraft carrier to host raveparties on. Yeah, that should just about cover it.

Seems like the other word for daddy (no, not the nice kind of daddy. Think **** my ride) is censored.

As the game stands, it is quite possible to make 250,000 C-Bills a match.

Possible, maybe, but unlikely as hell.

I don't have a source, but I've been hearing small bits of information from the devs that lead me to believe they're working on coming up with a system like repair and rearm, except not sucky. One of the things the devs have mentioned is being rewared with equipment or 'mechs for holding certain planets in community warfare, but that doesn't make any sense to me, since I could just as easily buy them regularly. It also doesn't make sense for them to give you a discount on buying the items when you hold certain planets, since that'd only remove money sinks from the game.

This is just wild speculation, but my gut tells me that holding certain planets will give you access to special versions of regular equipment, with small little bonuses or extra features, that require maintenance/replacement if destroyed. Including repair and rearm for special equipment would be a great money sink.

Clans should be separate, anyway.

If IS peopel can buy them, it's stupid for all the Clanner pilots... who are about 60% of the community and also kills IS chasis.

I never seem to have a surplus of Cbills. But I am always buying new mechs and configuring them (I would prolly save a fortune if I used smurfy's more).

You may want to rethink your location. I'm thinking Pacifica. Sure the weather sucks, but the view........

Save it for when Rearm & Repair returns. I wouldn't be surprised if it returns for CW gameplay only, as the mechanic is mostly for campaign play in TT.

If you believe all the crybabies out there, with current and upcoming consumables, no one will ever be rich.
