Because obviously YOU are the only one suffering from those bugs, and there must be something wrong with YOUR system.

To whom do you think you are referring?

And avoid CCleaner: Way too ham-fisted …

I find it deeply amusing when people try hard to ignore the fact that aforementioned bugs affect 90% of all players and instead provide recommendations with questionable effectiveness. How bad can a game be if reinstall would fix it? It's not like it is Windows 95...

I wonder whats the mentality of people who wake up early in the morning and the first thing they feel like doing is complain on a forum.

Is it a more efficient way of waking up then drinking coffee or something?

I don't know, why don't you tell us what it's like since you're complaining like a little *****.

Game freezes are making this unplayable for me ATM. Not even a hotfix.

4> Defrag hard-drive

I need to point out: Do not defrag a SSD! It decreases both speed of access to the defragmented files and the lifetime of the SSD.

It was a good idea for magnetic drives, but with all the SSDs around don't leave out the SSD warning.

MadAndrew - Its a known windows problem that during program updates registry keys get locked/not deleted and the same with files, which can cause some of the bugs mentioned particually the FPS and crash bugs as well as missing texture bugs.

Did 13 years of IT support so I know what I'm talking about thanks, it was in no way saying that it was something only the one person was suffering from, it was simply a known issue with the MWO/Windows integration.

The HUD bugs it won't help with but PGI have already said they think they have found the issue here and are working on a fix, its just not as simple an issue as you might think.

They will clean it up before launch or before it goes on steam.

Good point!!

Why is it then that almost every other game or program that I have used that receives regular updates has not had the sheer number and level of bugs that this game has?
And don't throw beta at me, I've beta and alpha tested many other programs that actually got better with each patch, not continually worse.

Also LOL @ IT support. I work in the a similar field and most support is only required by either a) ******* that don't know anything other than how to browse the web and wordprocess, and :P guys that do know what they're doing, but need support's access to get things fixed.

Dude learn to post...dear god do make suggestions to anyone if you post like this, clearly something wrong with you.

*sigh*

The problems and intolerance

some people have is beyond me.

There is nothing wrong with

my posting style.

As for the "real" issue at hand,

again,

check for a crashdump

and email it to

they really need some emphasis on QA. right now it feels like there is practically none. i'm not expecting a bug free game, but this patch its a miracle if you get to 5 games in a row where you aren't bugged or CTD, or even 3 games in a row where someone on your team isnt crippled

for whatever little content they introduced last patch, it was not worth all these bugs

I agree completely. I'd like to see a "Mechwarrior Alpha" program... where PGI could either select or actually have people APPLY for it (base entry on previous game testing experience to ensure quality testers) and give a pre-test of all these features and things before they go live.

That would require a change to their development process, though... so I'm not sure of the feasibility. But think of how useful it could be if say... 500 out-of-house people tested in addition to those who already do test now in-house... and best of all - it's free testing for PGI.

Just a thought.

Download and reinstall the game. I had the same problems, went from crashing to desktop every other game, fps drop and rubber banding to back to normal.

That may fix those issues, but not the HUD bugs...+1 for a beta testing server...
