I am interested in the jenner for the information warfare aspect - perhaps they'll let me buy two founders packages for my account.

Hard to say. I would like to know the impact, if any, a founders Mech has on gaining piloting skills and achieving tier 1 in the Mech class first. I assume there is no difference as a I assume that a founders Mech is an alternative version of an existing base or variant Mech.

Hunchback because it has a good deal of customization you can do to it, not too light to mount the big guns and not too heavy to move at a decent rate. Of course, it does tend to lean towards the big guns in most of its variants, but that can always be tweaked.

Picking from the 4 they have shown so far I'd have to say Atlas...I've always been a Heavy/Assault pilot and I never much cared for Catapult...if they open up other options I would consider them as well.

I'm thinking Atlas, I think I could make it a missle boat like a cata and that would give me 2 different play styles. I'm torn but like people have said before I think the heavies are more forgiving of lack of skill.

tough one to answer not knowing how it will work exactly, but either a Jenner or Hunchback, I like heavies but the heavy I want aint listed yet.

Short of usable intel I will most likely go Jenner for weight class and role.

If those are the only four, it's an Atlas.

I plan to go with the jenner mostly because I really like the light but also because I want to try the scout mechanics more than anything else

I have decided the stalker is just too damn sexy to not pilot. most likely it will be my prime machine which leaves me with the question- what choice for inception;

It's a hard choice, I like the look of the catapult, the atlas also looks good, but the jenner is theoretically the best choice because of its weapon loadout and its speed, meaning one with a tactically oriented mind will be able to exploit the weaknesses of catapults, the slowness of atlases, and the fact that hunchbacks can be declawed with the appropriate surgical strike.

so what it comes down to is do I want to look dead sexy, or do I want to take full advantage of that cbill bonus by getting spots damage and kills (presumably thats how credit generation works) with what I can only imagine will be cheap repairs as well. It truly is a hard choice.

It depends. If, at the start of the game, you can get both an Operation: Inception 'Mech and a starter 'Mech, then I'd go with the Founder's Catapult, and my starter would be the Centurion (since there's no Enforcer...yet).

However! If your starter is only the O:I 'Mech, then I'm going Hunchie. Gonna honey badger that s**t.

Well if this is anything like WoT (or MW4), I would go with the Atlas because it will probably be the most expensive of the four. Wouldn't it be cheaper to get the other ones later? Or maybe you can sell it if you don't like having an Assault and buy a couple little ones. This is all supposition, of course, but I plan on having all four models over time anyway, just like my tanks! :ph34r:

I was planning to buy the founders package but i will not do that until they clarify how it will be for us non-NA players.

You might want to make that a possible answer for the poll also.

+1 to that.

does anyone know if we have hard figures on the stats for the mechs yet? i think it is impossible to say for sure until we know the figures. I might just take the Jenner if I know it can be stuffed with all the E-war stuff I can handle

I'm definitely buying a founder's package to show my support for the game. I may be travelling at the time that founders are allowed access to beta on the 17th so if I am able to play, it will solely be a bonus. I'm typically not the sort of person who throws down additional money for "collector's edition' games either so this is a rare act on my part.
