Welcome to life as a non-Catapult heavy

The side torso hit-box's on the Jager are HUGE.
Whoever draws them seems to simply follow the outline of the mech with no regard for game-play or 'realism'. As a result, the large side shields, or elephant ears, on the Jager are included in the side torso hit-box's. This means they become a liability instead of increasing the mech's survivability - which is their whole point.
End result: the side torso's are too easy to hit. Couple this with the fact that most Jager builds require an XL engine and you get a mech that is more apt to blow up than the early Sherman's of WW2.
