YLW - Shodan

Idk why just felt like a fitting name, its the only mech i named out of the ~35 i own(ed).

Yeah I heard guys often get so attached to their Wang they tend to name it.

OT, my DDC was named The Baus but frankly with the SRM nerf it's more middle management now. My HBK-SP I dubbed Notre Dame and my so hardpoint balanced JM6-S is the ZenJager. The other names are kinda unimaginative so I'll not bore you with them.

I named my COM in 1337, C0MM4N50, and my CAT's named Erodeth after the world in my book.

I'd like to be able to rename so my mechs are all themed based. Like from Gilligan's Island.

Skipper = Stalker
Gilligan = Commando
Mary Ann = Jenner
Ginger = Heavy Metal
Professor = Raven 3L
Mr and Mrs Howell = both golden Atlas

All my mechs are just the default variant name...

Almost all of mine are as well, until I know I can safely rename them as much as I want, which is supposedly one of the features in UI 2.0 along with being able to re-order them in your bays and see their current camo and colors represented in the thumbnails.

I just keep the default Variant designators until we get the ability to rename the mechs. During closed beta I did try naming mechs what configs I thought they would be, but their end configs would be wildly different.

Commando 2D : WildBill
Hunchback 4SP : Marauderback (at first it had 2 ppcs in hands , so it was fitting)
Centurion CN9-A : LeroyJenkin (runs at 89 kmh)

The rest of them don't have nicknames.

CPLT-C4: C4-Boxer
CPLT-K2: K2-Twinblaze (nearly named it Blazblue, actually)
CPLT-A1: A1-Racket

STK-3F: S3F-Prescott
STK-5M: Willamette/M
STK-5S: S5S-Gallatin
bonus points if you understand this reference

AS7-DDC: Atchisson-DDC
AS7-RS: RS-Beamer

HBK-4P: Kyphosis
TBT-5J: Hooper-5J
CDA-3M: Daiinago-3M

DRG-1C: Burakku-1C (it's painted black)
DRG-5N: Shiranui-5N (painted white with red)
DRG-FLAME: Koujin (should've named it Kokoujin instead)

RVN-3L: 3L-Raptor
RVN-4X: Silverstone (another reference)
RVN-2X: Corvus-2X

JM6-S: JM6-Mauser-S

AWS-8T: Vysage-8T
AWS-9M: Catoble-9M
AWS-8R: Gargantua-8R

I have a habit of adding the variant-model code to the nicknames to make it easier to discern in the list. I didn't name my CTF-4X or JR7-F/K or AS7-K.

I can't type any of mech names. They would all be asterisks.
