Naming things is often my favorite part of a game. I try to come up with a theme for each chassis. My spiders were named after fairies, Centurions after Roman weapons, Trebuchets after cavalry commanders, Cataphracts after knights, and Atlai after Titans.

CN9-AL: Gladius (Roman Sword)
TBT-7M: Quanah (Parker, Comanche Chief)
CTF-2X: Roland (le Paladin)
CTF-3D: El Cid (Medieval Spanish Hero)
AS7-D-DC: Iapetus (Titan, archetypal)
AS7-D: Themis (Titan of law, order, and custom)

Cataphract 4X: Pocket Zeus (cause it carries a fairly Zeus-like loadout on a 70-ton chassis)

All of the above (Well Spectre was a variant of the Shadow) are 'mechs from Mission Force: Cyberstorm. Since it was a game focused around 'mechs, I felt 'twas appropriate.

I would name my spider CL4P-TP, but I recently deleted that mech bought a new mech turned out to be complete failure and wasted all my money. now im poor and less likely to play this game.

I've nicknamed my CN9-AL The Shark. 250 STD, endo, 2 LLs, 2 MLs, 17 DHS. It's really good for circling slow heavies and tearing them apart.

I call my HGN-733 The Beast. Gauss, 2 ERLL, 4 SRM4. Doesn't matter what range you are at, she will **** you up.

There's always something of a naming theme going. The Atlas mechs were all female Norse deities, the Highlanders are male Jotuns, the Cataphracts were various ancient heavy cavalry.

I named my Awesome 8Q Edward.

So far it hasn't quite lived up to expectations and has lost every match I took it in. It's probably because there aren't any glittery paints in the game (PGI, hint hint.) I'm planning to name my future 9M Jacob, and see if it does any better. I'm saving Bella for the Pretty Baby.
