it has a massive blind spot right below the cockpit . you canno see any light that is standing close to you .
EVERY mech should have the ability to see its own feet for gawds sake .

Is this not a feature of the other assaults as well? I've never driven them but it seems they have limited fields of view.

Jump up.
Land on light mech.
Now they can't shoot at you either.

Won't be a problem when knock downs come back in.

Yes, this problem is old.
You can't see a commando that stands right in front of your atlas.
It's like when an ECM-cloaked atlas stands 10 feet behind you. You just should notice it.
In the books, it's made obvious that every mech has 360° vision... which we don't have in MWO in any form.
They should really compensate for that.
And I can't count the times in PUG-games that I tried to walk backwards into safety and be blocked by a team-member that sneaked up right behind me and didn't think of moving... same problem. :-/

The fatal flaw of the highlander is that they dont all have pink camo. And they dont all blast metal when someone dies. The fatal flaw of the one that does have both these issues solved is that the metal is not loud enough, and doesnt play for long enough.

Step 1) put your JJs back on
Step 2) WFO
Step 3) Jump
Step 4) twist in the air
Step 5) blast lights in face
Step 6) rinse and repeat.

Such chassis characteristics are made worse by the fact that the knock down mechanic is absent; lights will hug your legs and there is nothing you can do about it.
