The mere existence of an Urbanmech means I would have to pilot it sometimes, no matter the disadvantage.

Seriously PGI, introduce a hero Urbie and you'll have my money.

Lets face it, if BT universe was real life, you'd take any mech you could get.

An Urbie would life ending for a lowbie warrior in 3050 or w/e...

Fixed <_<

What would it take? I'd do it just for the hilarity if only a couple times.

Unless they paid me probably nothing. The novelty is there but it would be incredibly boring. I already don't have as much time to waste as I would like and I certainly wouldn't waste any of it on that thing.

Sure, it's easy to think this, but I've had a blast with every game the Urbanmech is included in. I'd never take one in a serious drop, of course, but for pugging? Hell yeah.

I don't just want it to collect dust in my Mechbay out of nostalgia. I want to lumber around with an AC/20.

The only way I would consider actively choosing an Urbie is for Urbie on Urbie action. Meaning Arena, or some sort of opt in event where you get a stock urbanmech, a whole stock urbanmech, and nothing but a stock urbanmech. No pilot skills, no modules, no loadout or even color customization.

But this I would actually consider.

Maybe next year when Solaris starts up.... ;)

I might consider purchasing a Hero copper urbie with "Bad Boys" playing on a kill in the same fashion as the HM, but that is already stretching it and without that feature the deal is already broken. But for the hilarity and the "Pay to Lose" factor I just might do it...

After all, in 3050 there is more or less nothing more humiliating in mech on mech combat than losing to an Urbie, except maybe getting killed by an atlas throwing one at your head. ;)

What would it take?

Them adding it in the first place. That's it. All hail the Urbie!

What would it take for me to pilot a trial Urbie? Simply put it on the Trial Mech list.

What would it take for me to buy an Urbie? Put it in the game. I would even buy a "Hero" Urbie, just because I could.

I am under no illusions that it would be a "competitive" mech, but it would be FUN. I have plenty of mechs if I want to play at a high level (well, as high as I can, which is rather low) but the Urbanmech is just a great little trashcan full of FUN.

Piloting an Urbie in the current state of the game would stick out like a sore thumb. I suggest a niche city map mode where everyone pilots urbies at once. More lulz while balance exists. PGI can call it "Urbie Warfare" Mode.

Urbie warfare... for the first time ever, I LOVE the idea of something directly associated with the Urbanmech. Good work, Sir.

I'd pilot it, at least until I'd gotten a kill with it. And then, I would pilot it until I got two kills in the same match and then...

As an active member of the Free World's League Military it would take nothing for me to pilot a trial Urbie. I know that we have Monday Marik Madness on the NGNG ts3 and we always to a "trial mech only" drop for at least most of the available trial mechs if not all of them. An ALL URBIE trial drop would be a sure thing, in fact multiple would, and it would be over 100 mechwarriors dropping at the same time in Urbanmechs, it would be a glorious thing and as always you are all invited to join in the Madness. Monday's at 22:00-ish Eastern time.

Are you kidding? It would take someone saying "here's your Urbanmech"! Who would turn down that opportunity?!?

As a serious answer in a not so serious thread, I would never pilot a trial Urbanmech. I fail to see the appeal entirely. I do not think it would be fun at all, unless your definition of fun is to be a complete liability to your team.
