This is what it would take for me to pilot a Urban Mech

6750 mc that was the cost of heavy Metal
300 mc for the mech bay for Heavy Metal
2000 mc for the paint for heavy Metal
10,000,000 cbills for driving a Pink Purple mech around for pain and suffering.
200% reward for killing anything with the Urban Mech
200% reward for surviving a match in a Urban Mech
A free banner for my Urban Mech that say "I piloted a Urbie made a kill and survived the match and all I got was a stupid banner".
A free decal saying "I am a Bad Bad Man" for piloting a Urbie
A free trophy for any Highlander DFA a Urbie which is a Highlander standing on a crushed Urban Mech

Give me that and I will pilot a Urban Mech in a match.

Well. My proposal is to make it deployable in battle, pokemon style. Only mechs over 60 tonnes can carry it.

It will also need to be agile, with a great singing voice and a can-do attitude.

Ooh! maybe we could invent a game mode based around it!

Thanks deviantart.

Edit: BAAAH HA HA HA HAAA!!

As a serious answer in a not so serious thread, I would never pilot a trial Urbanmech. I fail to see the appeal entirely. I do not think it would be fun at all, unless your definition of fun is to be a complete liability to your team.

With ELO as it is currently, the last thing you need to worry about is me in an urbanmech, try the guy in an atlas who's wandered off on his own to cap.

as was said in Field of Dreams

"If PGI builds it. they will come."

clearly they were talking about Urbies.

edit-

<sometime later after the MC only Urbie is released>

"PGI announces their newest MC mech- the Urbanmech- has made them as much money as the Founders program has to this date"

Exactly this.

Well, maybe not exactly. 10,000 seems like a good start for me.

Outside of that? Heck no. I get antsy when I mess around in anythin slower than my Cicadas. I dont want to imagine how incredibly angry I'd get at the ridiculous waddle speed of the urbie.

For reference, the average biking speed of a person is as fast as the Urbanmechs maximum speed. Average bike speed = Max Urbie speed.

Heck, olympic sprinters actually run faster than an Urbie could run. How pathetic is that?

How many Olympic sprinters do you know with an Autocannon in their arm?

Not saying I disagree, but apples to oranges :(

Never happen. The entire lot of you can't muster enough imagination, combined, to come up with a bribe that would get me into one of those wastes of resources that could be used to build a real Mech.

You sound like you're a real barrel of laughs.

And the OP forgot. Under this cloak of suspended reality, you will get the "Alpine Peaks" map seven(7) in a row, mixed with a smattering of Tourmaline Desert, for the first dozen(12) or so matches when selecting the Urbie Trial mech.... LOL :(

Urbanmechs are underrated, I'd love to see them in this game and would be happy to pilot one, it would be fun. :(

After all the serious 'Mech additions are in, I wouldn't mind piloting an Urbie for fun. Make this a simple yes or no poll. I bet the majority answer is yes. ;)

Well, I am assuming you are asking about having to pilot it exclusively for a small period of time. To just try it, I would just try it. As for having to PLAY an Urban Mech, It would take quite a bit. The C-Bill booster sound good. I would need something to prevent me from leaving MWO ;)
