I'm sure that PGI has thought about the introduction of MRMS.

Since we have locking LRM and Streaks....

Since we have "Shotgun" SRMS.

I think the best way to do MRMS is to fire them unguided (with a little arc) in a Ripple fire from the launchers.

This will let us adjust our aim at range (way better than SRM shotgunning, even with Artemis), using earlier rockets as tracers.and not make them an OP 40 missle x2 shotgun up close on a Cat or Assault while maintaining a good amount of damage midrage (even more vs immobile targets).

Launch mechanic would be roughly 1 row at a time 5 rockets (or less if launcher is too small)

MRM10 5 volleys of 2

MRM20 5 volleys of 4

MRM30 5 volleys of 6

MRM40 5 volleys 0f 8

This could be modified by existing launcher size, but should work ok with existing mechs and EXPECTED loadouts... mech with an LRM 5 would probably not have a MRM40 mounted... even so, you clowns will do it... is just 8 volleys of 5. the opposite of the normal fire pattern.

So up to a MRM30 would work in a SRM 6 mount without issues, a 40 would have some extra volleys.

What do you think?

MRMs do not appear in the timeline for a while yet. That's why we don't have Inner Sphere ER Medium Lasers or a Heavy Gauss Rifle yet.

And your poll is bad.

Yeah, unfortunately, you will have to wait another 8 years. :)

Is it just me finding timeline bound to real time quite stupid?

I'd rather have them get the basic weapons right (like LBX, MG, Flamers, some of the Pulse Lasers, and fixing missiles) before we add other weapons that would break the current "imbalanced balance".

I think they should be added right on timeline schedule...3057 MRM intro translates into 2020 our time, see ya then. :)

How about something available in the time line. Like Binary Laser Cannons. The best reason for the Zeus to be the next announced assault 'Mech.

I found them to be useless in Mech4. Dumb fire and too heavy, not enough Ammo.

There are only 4 weapons that the Inner Sphere has access to, but MWO does not have: Binary Laser Cannon, Swarm LRMs, Thunder LRMs, Arrow IV Artillery, and the One-Shots.

With a short list of exceptions, what the IS has now is all it'll get. What I would like to see is multiple manufacturers making different versions of weapons with different quirks, similar to the chassis quirks that are being introduced.

Considering how obsolete 90% of the mechs and equipment become down the line... I think it's fine we can at least for once get to pilot something like Jenner, Spider or Cataphract.

Do you mean PGI consistently nerfing stuff in the next patch?

Good point! I asked about new weapons in Ask the Devs before, and the answer I got was essentially "we'll add new weapons when we add new mechs that have them in stock configurations." I love the Zeus anyways, so it has my vote.

the funny thing is that mRMs were one of the original Battledroids weapons.

IS mrms aren't guided at all. tbhety are a direct fire weapon and I like em.

The even funnier thing is this was apparently left out of my copy, since I just looked through it and there's no such weapon.

...or maybe the error is elsewhere. :D
