So apparently I'm an *** for not charging 3 assault mechs with a raven...

....of course the rest of my team is dead.

No, I'm not charging 3 assaults standing shoulder to shoulder that you barely scratched.
No, I don't give a crap if its wasting your time, don't suck and you would won't leave lights in a 1 on 4
Yeah, I'm trying to string them out, I can't do that if I stand there and die.

Oh and before you call me out for not fighting...have more kills than me.

It ranks for me along the lines of being told that capping is cheap when the other team is winning by 4 already. Yes I will charge a larger force with a smaller force and be destroyed just because you didn't pay attention to where you were, what was going on or defending.

The thing is, you're not gonna win in your raven against 6 other guys, and making the 7 other players on your team mad that they have to wait another 8 minutes for you to die is spiteful.

Haven't you heard? The Raven 3L is so epic that it has 600pts of armor on all parts of the mech, carries 14 ERPPCs, 10 Large lasers, and 5 Gauss Rifles with 100 tons of ammo. It has an Standard 1000 Engine, runs at 300kph, and holds 140 double heat sinks.

It cannot be beaten.

Far crack of the whip Vassago. If he is facing 3 assaults, then he can string them out and go for a cap win.

A win is a win no matter how long it takes. If people can't wait, they can quit the match and go find another one. It's not like he is shutting down and hiding in an assault match.

Not really, they had a pair of stalker and a PB orginally I was trying to get the PB separated. After my team started running their mouth, I just circled around until they got bored and capped. The best part was being called afraid to fight when I was 3rd damage on the team with the most kills......despite being the lightest mech on the field.

Point being if you zerged into all of that and died, you have now lost the right to dictate tactics. You are free to quit match, but they wasted MY time sucking it up.

I just had the same situation.

Me and my friends were both in X-5s, the only ones remaining on our team. I was pretty banged up. However, the opposition had four Assaults and one Light converging on us in a pack.

So my friend and I turned and ran. We put some distance between us and the Assaults, and drew the enemy light to follow us. My friend and I killed their light just as the four assaults got to us and killed us.

Our dead ''teammates'' called us cowards and lamers. But I thought we were playing smart by splitting up the pack and getting one kill, against hopeless odds...?

I guess it is a little harder for the people who employ straight up brawl tactics in their heavy and assaults to understand light pilot tactics of hit and run.

No, not really. They go power down in a corner, or make you chase them all over.

I've only rarely seen anyone win doing this, and I've been here since the game first opened. It's purely a spitting move.

Actually, I have two DDCs set up in my queue, and my founder atlas. Still doesn't make it okay that people lock them in 15 minute games for no reason.
