The big issue with the highlanders is that they suffer from the same CT issue as the awesomes....

The mech's current design makes it difficult for a good player to roll damage on to its arms and side torsos. The CT is too easy to hit from all directions.

Some changes to the hitboxes and / or an enlargement of the shoulders and arms would help this mech immensely!

Game balance, yay!

Came to comment on the CT issue. I'm noticing this a lot, particularly with LRM fire.

I've had a few games now where my front armour was gone, yellow internals and I'm getting LRM'ed (incoming missile warning etc).

I'll turn to run, start lumbering away. The missile arrive and hit my back and pepper the legs, however almost all the damage is transferred to my internals.

Died a few times now to completely unavoidable fire, short of getting behind cover. Taking hits on the back in the highlander doesn't seem possible, and more luck than anything else. I'm actually considering stripping almost all my rear armour for front, as it all seems to transfer there anyway. I may actually get some extra protection that way, as a rear shot will strip from the front first.

Other than that though, I'm loving the Highlanders. So a little hit box / transfer tweaking and they will be perfect.

And I still would love some kind of official feedback to my missile hardpoint/missile tube problem. Is it intentional or not? Is it going to change?
