I like taking screen shots, this patch has broken that, motion blur off, low, or high all result in this.

Looking into fix's but any advice is welcome.

That Awesome was me btw. :D

So I went and tested for ya. Here's what I got. This is after turning it on, and once with it off.
Spoiler

As I said to you in teamspeak, that kind of blur I've only seen on mechs that are lagging or when I'm seriously lagging.

So... I went camera commando. Here's what I got. God knows what Pole was running but I was going 110. See what you can do with it for the screenshot thread? Motion blur is still set very high.

Closest I could get to motion blur. It's the missile impact blur.

This blur is a spiral shape and is a mutation of the Depth of Field blur, rather than motion blur.

You could do it with any mech. But Commandos, Awesomes, and certain others work well for this. In game, hit Right Shift + F11. Remember, no hud. After that, zoom in twice with Z. Enjoy. Works best with armlock on so you don't accidentally put your cockpit in the screen.

Check out Lordred's screenshot panel, where he's always camera commando. Careful, if you announce you're doing it your team is likely to kill you. Teammates have killed Lordred twice.

There are no changes to game files, no SweetFX in his shots. Only driver level changes and post-image color/brightness/contrast tweaking.

Seems a bit harsh.. ..nothing wrong with taking a couple of screenshots then on with the battle...

You'd think.

I'd post the image Lordred took before he was shot, but then we'd be doing the name and shame game. Can't do that. :D

Wait until you switch internet carriers on Monday or whenever it happens. I still think it's a ping/lag issue, especially if your DL speed is now 0.7 mbs.

I don't know, I've had terrible blur with it set to off and low ping and high d/l speeds. AMD 6970 on a new ASUS ROG rig, but it was the same on my old rig too.

Happened less often to him at that point. Though it turns out, turning off post-processing removes all occurrences of the effect.

Motion blurr off, and to finish up and make sure the distance wasn't also blurred, set "post processing" (advanced button on graphics) to as low as it goes. I also have

r_DepthOfField = 0
r_MotionBlurShutterSpeed = 0.01

in my "user.cfg" file (main game directory)

I don't notice any blurr like you saw, but then.. I've not tried any screen shots with the current printscreen functionality (just 2 of post game screens). I'll try some during a fight and make sure they are clean..

Must be the in-game process.. mine sucked too. I'll try in windowed mode and see if I can ge Windows to do it (alt+prnt on active window should override PGIs).

Otherwise, I'll fire up my video software and try one with their tool.. but I think it's PGI that's messing it up by not taking an actual screen grab of a single frame?.. we'll see.

EDIT: doesn't seem to matter what I run, I get the same jitter you get.. odd, didn't used to have that.

My DL speeds are 5 to 8 mbps, I get the same thing (after the last patch, with ingame and external screen shot tools)... something is odd it seems.

You wouldn't actively notice it in non-screenshots with a fast connection. During high pings -- or more specifically looking at others with high pings, you'll notice the effect in full motion where sometimes the other mech doubles or triples.

In his thread, Lordred states how we overcame the issue (which was after much toying with settings, user configs, etc. Nothing worked until... http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/111548-the-perfect-screenshot-thread/page__view__findpost__p__2371587

My current work around is to have POST Processing set off, I rely completely on altered hex values for my game. Still do not use Sweet FX (which is still frowned upon by PGI)
