I just noticed that the "use default folder" option was NOT being recognized and created, it was defaulting to the win\temp folder automatically, regardless of my choice in the client.

I believe this was the main reason the patch client would suddenly close out multiple times for the last 4 patches or so (yet still eventually patch the game properly).

Not sure if this is a patch client error, or my firewall/antivirus proactive intercept blocking it, MWO and all related executables are set to trusted.

The fix was ensuring that the download Patch files actually are located in X:\Games\Piranha Games\MWOUpdate

A copy paste seems to have fixed the error as they were located after download in x: win\temp
