The last few weeks my LRM Stalker has been nearly useless, then after this patch I am suddenly back to doing 400+ damage/match and one match even got 4 kills. It seems like this patch made a tweak to LRMs making them more effective (at least it seems that way to me.)

Anyone else noticed this?

Yep, everyone should just use PPC, Gauss and AC20 and poptart!

Seriously.
It might just be my imagination but it really seems like LRMs either deal more damage or hit more reliable.

Yeah I don't know if they tweaked the damage, the splash damage, or what, but I definitely seemed to be hitting a lot harder with LRMs since the patch.

Simple explanation: Highlander rush.

Highlanders are slow and don`t carry ECM :)

Certainly NOT the only factor, but definitely a major contributor I feel, I was blowing up McLeods and Dunbars left and right all night yesterday.

There can be only one!! The Atlas :D

There is an LRM in the works, but PGI indicated it might take a while.

I think people are doing more XP work on non-ECM mechs, and with missile damage down I see less AMS going off. Also, in one opening screen it said the AMS only works within 90m. Didn't it used to be 200m??? If so, smaller overlapping AMS zones = more rain getting through.

Don't know. They never hit my mech. I get the missile warning and then they sail over my mech's head usually. The few times I was being hit there was too much else going on to tell. I guess when I start getting damaged alot by LRMs I'll test them again. Or maybe on the weekend.

The in game HUD says AMS range is 200 that's a 90m Circumference <~20m....
