I'm amazed how much of a difference HSR for PPCs and Ballistics makes.

Seems like the glorious days of the speedy harrassers are over, took my spider and my raven for a few spins last night to test their values with ppc loadouts...

I got GIBBED so fast its not even funny. Forget about running past the whole enemy team without getting barely any damage. The difference is HUGE.

Tough times to be in a light mech now. We gotta change tactics fellow light pilots. No more anklebiting in cqb.

Weave through the terrain, if you are going under 110 KPH, you should not be running between them.

Last match I played yesterday in my SDR-5D (ERLL+2ML) netted me 3 kills and 4 assists.

But you're on the right track for the solution: Play better.

Will be interesting to see how this affects the 3L population.

Ravens still seem to have odd hit detection still.

I'll try my best :)

I'm not raging at the changes, I think its an amazing implementation.

Stop running in a straight line.
Stop circling people.
Stop being lazy.

I ran my Jenner around plenty of snipers on Tourmaline, and only got hit with lasers.
My secret? Doubling back, zigzagging, tapping the jumps for short hops only, generally making myself not just a small+fast target, but a HARD target.

Light mechs are getting at the same place they were in every mechwarrior game to date: obsolete, forgotten and pilots that bring them in game looked like crazy people at corner.
Nothing new. Just switch to assaults and heavies, like everyone else is doing.

Tough,no. More challenging and more fun, yes. I love the changes and my favorite mechs to pilot are light mechs.

Definately time to get better. My Jenner thirsts for vengeance, and the well has gone dry :-D.

Would be fine if it 90% of the production wasn't processed in some fast clipping distortion field, my god. Whatever... I dig the arrangement at least...

Back on topic, solution = ppcs on lights, gg.

Last night, our entire team was wiped on an Assault match except for a single spider with an ERPPC. Remaining team was two Hunchbacks, a Dragon, and an Atlas, with varying states of damage.

The Spider killed them all and won the match for us. It was a thing of beauty to watch him dance around and pick them apart.

I am terrible light pilot, so for me it's always fun watching a really good light pilot at work.

I can't for the life of me find the video.

I saw something on History Channel years ago about helicopter pilots in Vietnam (i think *shrug*). I recall a scene where one chopper was shot was shot down (reenactment) and a sniper was trying to kill the crew who survived the crash. That is where they mentioned that if your moving from cover to cover (in the case, the open to a heavily wooded area/jungle) that you should attempt to move from A to B while 'Zig-Zagging.'
I don't know how well that works in real life, but I find it is very useful an almost every shooter I have played.

EDIT: So many errors >.<
