I was under the impression that a chunk of the founders money went to IGP. That is why I didn't buy a founders package. I figured this out months ago through simple reading.

Of course there isn't proof. PGI deleted that when they changed the forums. Probly to remove things they didn't want people draging out.

Anyways if I remember right out of the ~5mil raised by the founders program PGI only got ~1mil back out of it, the rest went to the publisher as a return to investers and additional funding for the other games.

Also the founder program had nothing to do with donatinos, it was an early beta accesss and +%cbills mechs sale, nothing more.

lol what proof, if you think founders monies went to develop wmo you are a fool, publisher took it and gave some to developers, its amazing how many ppl think if they spend money on mc or founder packages they contribute it all towards towards game, also you are a fool if you think paying for mwo makes you 'preserver of mechwarrior pc genre'

I've never understood this issue....

Of course money went to other games. Just as taxes you pay go to fund government funded projects.

IGP funds MWO. PGI owes a debt to IGP (We are not privy to the details) PGI owes IGP a % or lump sum of revenue. The money is then IGPs and, most likely, has gone on to fund other projects. You pay your taxes (debt) where the money goes from there is beyond your conttrol.

This is exactly like saying...

Proof Founders money funded Garths Asian Massage parlor trip.
Founders funded PGI. PGI paid Garth's salary ( a debt ) and Garth went and spent it on a manicure and foot massage! This is an outrage!!! (Garth likes to feel pretty while killing in his Cicada)

Proof Founders money funded Crysis 3.
Founders funded PGI. PGI paid off the fee for using CryEngine 3 (a debt) and Crytek used the money to produce Crysis 3! This is an outrage!!!

I know it's more complex than that, but I'm posting in a thread where the OP is inventing a collusion of PGI/IGP to bilk us our founders investments to fund another title.
