I'm still waiting for the proof. Seems the conspiracy theorists left the thread.

Oh I just thought of the best response.

So What?

Assuming this is the case, and given the nature of business it certainly is....

and i'm gonna slow down here for the tinfoil hat brigade to catchup..with me?

still with me?

Ok good we'll continue What if I told you, and i'm just spitballing that these other games are getting money

still with me?

and that money is going to the publisher..

still following here?

and that the publisher is distributing it as needed to the games being developed...

ok everybody still with me now?

So all the games are gettign the funding they need.

whew i didn't think a concept that simple would be so hard to get across.

They better never invade Ohio or Florida. Ohio you never know when it will rain and Florida it rains every morning.

Pretty much you want to center your invasion on Barstow, CA and the High Desert. but if you do so you'll be facing a bunch of bored pissed off Marines because the desert ******* sucks and you can only go to the movies so many time.

also it's the ******* desert.

If I buy a Big Mac at McDonalds can I then demand that they use that money to bring back the McRib?

Partick Star?

Also. I gave MWO $60 for An Atlas, Some MC and A couple months of Premium time. I got all that. I have also gotten exactly what I paid for throughout the months that I have been playing the game.

As a TT Player, some of the money I spend on TROs have gone into making Shadow Run, and several other games CatLabs produces. I go what I paid for, how they spend it is not my business.

See the difference there. Spare us your specious arguments.

MWO didnt make this money. It was PLEDGED for a PARTICULAR product not a host of them. When an investor backs a particular innovation he does not want his money spent over there on engines when what he wants is improved light bulb.

When I backed Chris Roberts on Space Citizen. I backed that particular game and that is where he spent the money. Honesty is a nice trait in a company.

When updating to the latest patch I had to agree to an EULA. In that EULA I found the following:

12. Included Websites. The Website includes, but is not limited to, the following websites, and includes the services offered therefrom:
1. www.mwtactics.com
2. www.mwomercs.com
3. www.sinsofadarkage.com
So anybody stating that there is no proof can now just go take a bath.

Discuss.

That is one major leap of logic you just took. That in no way proves anything.

1. When I pledged money to this product, I was an INVESTOR, I knew that it part it was going to development of the game and to the company at large, as well as their investors. http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/108537-im-just-going-to-put-this-here-for-reference/
I made an investment in PGI/IGP... same as when I invested in GE, that meant EVERYTHING from light bulbs to engines.

2. When the game is released, I am a CONSUMER, and when I purchase something from them, I'm getting what I purchased (hero mech, cockpit item, paint, etc.) and what they do with the funds doesn't concern me.

him used big fancy word (specious), hence his argument must be right!

(Of course, I remember nothing in any agreement I made on purchasing my Founders Package that said the money would be used exclusively on MW:O..... anyone got a copy handy?)

Actually, not directly. GE is an umbrella for 9 (while I was working there) internal companies. There was no simple moving money from GE Energy to GE Transportation.

Specific example. GE Trans need to add servers to it's datacenter. First they had to upgrade the power. So Trans had to rent backup generators the size of semi-trailers from GE Energy like any Hobo from the street. In the meantime, Trans was leasing servers from GE Plastics until power upgrades were done. But because of the traffic load, GE plastics had to add additional network hardware. While Plastics was getting GE Information Systems to Install their network equipment, they leased network from GE Entertainment (NBC).

Durring all this, someone in the chain missed a payment and the whole thing got put on hold because one company stopped because of not being paid, which caused a shitstorm of grand proportions.

So technically, money from Trains was funding the TV show 30 Rock. So we are talking millions of dollars moving around using a huge amount of manpower, because each GE company is it's own company. Clear as mud?

Lulz. Damn anti-monopoly laws.

I know it's more complex than that, but I'm posting in a thread where the OP is inventing a collusion of PGI/IGP to bilk us our founders investments to fund another title.

I tried to be as simplistic as I could be so as to not turn the OP into one of the Germans at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark

Edit: Where was GE Financial when all this was going on?

Founder Program was a Pre-Order, not a donation. You bought something for delivery in full at a later date. This wasn't a kickstarter. The money went to PGI to IGP and back to wherever it was needed. That's how a business works.

Interesting, I spend a fair but of time on both Tactics and MWO, and never seem to have a problem finding a match, or a lack of people on the Forums. For failures, that seems... odd.

MW tactics has it`s own founders program which is doing just fine from what I gather. Hopefully I can get in on that one before they go OB.

Assuming "my founders money was embezzled for" almost 5 months after Open beta is asinine. If they were still living off founders cash, they be sinking faster than an anvil in a septic tank.

But yes, God forbid that a company take a revenue generating product and use the revenue from it to develop further products. I mean, coca Cola could invent something stupid like Sprite, or Ford could actually still be building cars 100 years aftert the Model T became obsolete, or Microsoft could release an updated version of Windows to reflect new hardware and software requirements....

Waitasec, that all happened, didn`t it? EMBEZZLEMENT!!!!

And yes, you ARE openly accusing PGI of a felony on a public forum, without any proof. You should be glad they`re not Microsoft or another more predatorial company.
