PGI borrowed money from the publisher to make this game.

That's how publishing works.

When the money starts rolling in, the publisher is going to take their cut.

That's how publishing works.

Once it is the publisher's money, they can spend it on anything they damn well please. It's their money.

Well, the ending kind of sucked.... loved it until the whole "Swing Timmy Swing and pour water on the alien!!!" part. (Guess it works on killing Witches and Extre-Terrestrials.)

meh another silly religious allegory from a dissapointing film maker Shamalamalan bottled lightning once or twice but has consitently made mediocre to disappointing films more or less since 6th sense.

At least he isn't a walking human rights violation against film making... Michael Bay i'm looking at you.

You ever see the Foamy cartoon about EULAs?

I've seen one with "...agrees to turn over their firstborn child if they can not guess my name." in it as a joke.

Yes, that is fine. What's not fine is that the money pledged for MWO was not entirely spent on MWO.

Oh I just thought of the best response.

So What?

Assuming this is the case, and given the nature of business it certainly is....

and i'm gonna slow down here for the tinfoil hat brigade to catchup..with me?

still with me?

Ok good we'll continue What if I told you, and i'm just spitballing that these other games are getting money

still with me?

and that money is going to the publisher..

still following here?

and that the publisher is distributing it as needed to the games being developed...

ok everybody still with me now?

So all the games are gettign the funding they need.

whew i didn't think a concept that simple would be so hard to get across.

He's also completely correct, though a eula that allows for cross promotion isn't why.

And between the 2 of you, neither obviously, has any business sense at all. :)

If it concerns you that much, Hang tight for Star Citizen, Shadowrun Returns/Online, Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, countless other amazing kickstart titles are on the way made by dreamers that want to see their games made so they can play them, not to make a buck, and all of the above were funded WELL beyond targets required, all give step by step goals based on finances beyond target showing exactly where the money is going, directly into further development of said title.

Or the whole bit about an advanced race of aliens whose kryptonite is water coming across the galaxy to invade a planet that's 70% covered in the stuff. Guess they're gonna be watching Al Roker's forecasts pretty closely to make sure they don't get wiped out by a pop-up shower, huh? Or how about the fact that they don't have any weapons other than some poison wrist thingee and apparently get thwarted by cabin and pantry doors? Oh, and everything you need to know about them is somehow written down in a book.

Yeah, the acting was fine, but I found myself groaning at all the plot holes in that one. :)

You'd think it wouldn't, but we live in a society where THIS is necessary.

When updating to the latest patch I had to agree to an EULA. In that EULA I found the following:

12. Included Websites. The Website includes, but is not limited to, the following websites, and includes the services offered therefrom:
1. www.mwtactics.com
2. www.mwomercs.com
3. www.sinsofadarkage.com
So anybody stating that there is no proof can now just go take a bath.

Discuss.

You have an interesting idea of the word "proof". Now, granted that most people don't think of proof the way a hard scientist does (i.e. the difference between the words proof and evidence) but you claim would not even hold up in court where the term proof is more watered down than American beer.

You've discovered that IGP (yeah, I see you read the EULA closely enough to see who you were signing with) actually wrote one EULA to cover all the games they are developing. And this is only evidence of that, not proof.

IO thought it was great.. until AFTER the part where it showed them swarming the house and it fades to black. The Plot holes all came pretty much in the finale. Up until then, it was just simmering with tension and suspense.. building and building.. to a typical MNS limp wrist ending. His moralistic twist endings worked well for Sixth Sense and Unbreakable... but after that, they all felt forced.

This isn't Aliens, Colonial Marines. I would like there to be a button to activate premium time in MW:T just like there is in MW:O though...

They better never invade Ohio or Florida. Ohio you never know when it will rain and Florida it rains every morning. Oh wait nevermind aliens have already invaded Florida....oops.
