It's A Beta

I think we all wish this game was fully released. Before September 21st they will fix mostly everything.
I personally wish I could help them more, but they are too busy even for me (maybe some day...). We have all been out of line at some point (don't lie). I apologize.
Carry on.

Actually if you read their rationale for 3rd Person and similar. That is exactly what they are worried about.
They have two goals right now above all else...
Draw in whoever it is that loves this game but won't play because of 3rd person.
Then get them to spend money.
People & Money. That is it.

What? They don't? If they don't then they are even more daft than I thought. No Customers, no business. No business and free to play game go bye bye. The NEED to retain customers and attract new ones. Why do you think they have these weekly sales of things that cost MC? But not a single reduction in MC cost for anything.

Give me a catapult, some rocket fuel, and the mythbusters and those pigs will fly. Oh BTW the myth about it not being beta has already been busted.

They better be concerned about player retention before release.

I actually have to agree with this.
Paid content is being prioritized and long standing bugs aren't being fixed. However this all depends on the balancing act of the company; venture capital, overhead, revenue streams, etc. etc. It takes moeny to fix those bugs and if their investors don't have deep pockets (or a willingness to dig deep) then they have to generate revenue in order to pay people to fix those bugs.
It's a Catch 22 situation
Don't make premium content a priority = no money
No money = no salary for bug fixing employees
No bug fixing employees = losing customers due to unhappy bugs
Losing customers = reduced purchases in premium content
Round and round and round she goes....
They are doing the best that they can with the team that they can.
Rest assured these guys want to see this game succeed and it isn't just about making money for them; their reputations are on the line as much as their wallets and to some people that is more important.

It's a beta because they are still building huge features like community warfare, 12v12, etc.

And they are still prioritizing earnings and new players over everything else.
Once again, see recent Hero mech before C-bill mech release, consumables, and 3rd person as examples.

If PGI were worried about retaining it's player base in beta, I'd be worried. They should be working on core gameplay and mechanics, then balancing and polishing for release, which is what they're doing. Quit crying about it already.

Who is crying? I'm just setting the facts straight. Thankfully I wasn't gullible enough to join the Founder's program.
Juree...they are more worried about making money and finding some sort of super special untapped playerbase to join this game.
They are NOT focused on core gameplay and mechanics. Look at the last 3 or 4 patches. MONEY is the priority. That is it.
They are releasing more new bugs than they are fixing. There is 0 polish and it takes MONTHS to balance a simple item (or in the case of ECM it takes 5 months to say it's fine while dragging the community along for a ride).
You don't think retaining it's player base is important though? That same player based that raised 5 million dollars just for them to make the game?
Why do you think the game even exists? They HAVE to retain those people.
