I decided to find a good fit (in the current game state) for my RVN 4X.
200XL engine
2 PPC
5x Jump Jets (in torso)
It only hits 101kph but does great as a harasser.
I've only run 18 PUGs with it so far but I've averaged 249 damages per match at this point.
It can be a death trap if you're not careful or if any determined lights break away and hunt you down but the jump jets really come in handy when that's the case.

Or you could use ac20 with 210xl you can get up to 21 shots if you remove your right arm armor. It really surprises ppl they dont expect an ac20 to face when they see a raven

101.8kph with speedtweak means you will be a sitting duck to other lights and the fast mediums, better hug that friendly atlas.

As for the Raven, it sucks. It can't boat machine guns! Don't know how anybody can pilot such a mech...

So, OP wants to be a pop-tart in a mech that has a quarter of the armour of a real poptart, while taking up a spot on team. In addition to being a half-arsed poptart you are also taking away a scout role, since any opposing light or fast medium will commit non-consensual intercourse with you if you are found alone.

the only mech that has some purpose being a lone wolf sniper : SPD-5D becuase of ER dual ppc + 3-4x JJ and ECM which makes you invisible on the radar and you are able to snipe away at larger ( SLOWER) mechs.
when you are being hunted you can fly over the enemy take a quick aim and shoot the ppcs , run , hide.
in other words, usefull to a certain degree. becuase in realtime you will miss 2/3 shots even on a 60kph+ moving mech.
now look at a medium pulse build.
your firing time is fast , like the time your lasers are firing is 0.75, decent reload time and heat can be managed.
it pulses twice meaning 2 fast snap shot like hits. this proves to be more usefull than a ppc shot , and defnitely more precise.
if you want to be usefull and have more fun, play a 151 kph light with 2x pulse (or more)
you can precisely take out enemy arms, legs and such.
your shots will be alot more reliable, and also a greater asset to your team.

Any time I see a Raven that slow it just turns into a turkey hunt.

I have not put any videos up since the JJ shake patch, but my 4X has always mounted a PPC to great effect.
