They'd be better off adding some universal teleport code that unsticks people if they're unable to move after a duration. It's a ghetto fix, but it works.

I'm not a programmer so I am forced to ask if this is done server side or client side? I only ask if it had to be client side then I understand why it's not coded in. All manner of hacks come to mind. Lol

Lulz.

1. Have you experienced this on this map before? Did you report it?
2. Is it in a high traffic area? https://static.mwome...m/img/heatmaps/
3. is it in a place only accessible by Jump Jets?
4. Is it in a place only accessible by low profile mechs (under a bridge as an example)
5. Is it on the border of the map where not a lot of people would go? (see 2)
6. Did you report it?

Still you are after all this information what good will it do you..................Maybe they PGIGP has had this information for a while now, and nothing has been done yet. So why would I spend the effort forwarding this information to one of the largest e-pinionated forum posters Ive ever encountered. You have now spent hours trying to pick this thread apart. But you as always miss the fact that the games inadequacies are more important than mine. derp! your focus point is based solely on your inability to stand back and see the big picture....... way to be a lil small guy in a sea of big fish.

You forward that information for the purpose of reproduction of the issue for other people on these forums. You forward that information so that, as was pointed out earlier in this thread, it can be tested by others to fully track every bit of relevant data in the effort to squash the particular stuck state. If it's a place on a map that is not highly traveled, it's very likely not had many tickets submitted on it, and even less with relevant information. It's hard enough squashing issues with good data, it becomes multitudes harder with even less information.

Disabuse yourself of the notion that this game is a complete product at this point in time and try and provide some useful information when providing feedback so as to help everyone, devs included. While you're at it, also understand that the folks who are responsible for developing new content (ie - hero mechs etc) are almost NEVER the same folks fixing stuck state defects on a map. That would be like condemning your HVAC guy for a leaky toilet and demanding he fix it.

I gotta echo Xenosphobatic here.

To the OP, your post is useless, because you're not specifically saying where you got stuck. If you want something fixed, tell the forums exactly where on the map you get stuck, (and include a pic or a video if possible) and open a support ticket about it.

The detailed forum info would let other players test the spot, and brute force specifics out of it. (Like what mechs it effects, is it 100% reproducible, etc.)

The support ticket lets the devs know there's an issue. (and if your bug is reproducible, they'll get a lot of tickets, so the issue will get attention)

Since you've included no positional info, your post is basically as useful as saying: "I found a needle in your haystack. Get rid of it." Sure, you did let the devs know that there's an issue with their haystack, but in order to find said issue they'd need to spend hours scouring the hay trying to find where it is themselves. This wastes dev time, so instead they ignore the issue until someone else can give them more detailed info.

For example, the player that discovered the splash damage bug made a very detailed post on it, and because of that other people tried it out and confirmed it. This lead to a massive thread, along with tons of detailed support tickets. The issue was addressed in the very next patch.

Nice holier than though approach, it will definitely win you points w/ dicks.

Most games in BETA have a /stuck command. Its used to get your character out of a location that you have been stuck. It also records where that took place. A daily job can be run and if a coordinate has too many stucks, the team is made aware of the issue. Seeing as there are no stucks in this game, then the best the game develoeprs can do is look for some spots that have max acceleration but no movement and try to fix it.

I've said this before as well, it would be a nice feature, as would an ingame bug reporting tool.

Having said that, the OP failed to provide even the slightest amount of information other than he was on RC. Not even a grid square, much less "south side of north west building in D3", and that's assuming that the OP doesn't know that when you hit F9 you get your x,y and z cords on the map.

Man u are really really stunned.........Ill make this real easy for you to grasp at.........is this thread a ticket nope, ...........than what premise do you have to assume that there has never been report on this issue by me or others, try to understand this......it may be difficult. this thread is not a ticket, great, give captain obvious a medal.

New player here, but yesterday I encountered the "rubber band" glitch at a base for the first time.

I changed my direction 45 degrees and was finally able to break free, although my friend who's played since day one, says when he's experienced that issue, he was stuck no matter what he tried to do to escape it...sure was a weird experience!
