So I go to check out the latest new on MWO on MWO's homepage and guess what?

There is a new map coming, a mech was delayed, patch has been delayed, game balance issues, problems with the new patch and/or a new feature coming to the game.

The only problem is all that info is buried in someone's forum post on like page 7/15 when they got an official response to aforementioned issue and/or it is coming from a secondary source (i.e. podcast/web video/internet article/twitter).

Is having a unified post across MWO media too much to ask for? Maybe I'm wrong but I when I look at the Latest News on other games like LOL or WOT, I get their official news info on their front page...no need to fact check a post that appears in the Popular Forum Topics and/or do a ton of research to get an answer on what’s going on.

Secondly while we are on that topic, can we get a video of a lovely lady (sorry female pilots) telling us the Creative Director Updates and/or new features in each patch. I'd ask for the ISN News Flashes too, but that might be a little too much.

I'd agree that a more uniform and consolidated communication strategy would benefit everyone. Not everyone checks every forum post, or has a Twitter or Facebook account and it'd be nice if we could see more cross-modal equality when it comes to the dissemination of information.
I know the folks at Piranha are hard at work crushing bugs and creating content, but couldn't IGP be doing some of this?

I'd also like a newsletter that summarizes all of the little trickles of information that came out in Dev posts in the last week.

Helmer's thread is nice, but it should be possible to get an official listing.

Speaking of which... Did the announcement that was postponed yesterday get announced or is there another postponement of the announcement... This is getting confusing?

It's a screenshot. Of the Canyon map. That's it.

I'd laugh if it wasn't so bloody depressing.

Not sure really, so i abstained.
You could complain about not enough info given early enough perhaps, but the info that IS there i usually find.

Edit: And you can not really blame them for hyping stuff up. Marketing/advertising is part of their job, right?

Perhaps a Representative could drop by Russ's house and his Mom could make you all Tea and Biscuits while said Rep disseminates that weeks News, and any upcoming Patch Notes, to you and Russ personally. Would you have a preferred night perhaps? :D

I have no problem with the announcing stuff on Facebook and Twitter as long as we get the same announcements at the same time on these forums.

I can blame them for hyping stuff up failing to deliver it at a point two hours later that they say they will be able to announce it and then the next day it turns out to be a screen shot....... :|

For a while I have been trying to figure out why they have an announcement section here on the forums since they never use it.

You are expecting way too much from PGI. If they were a legitimate company that had money and decent talent then yes, they could spare some resources. Right now these guys are in crisis management acting like the Little Dutch Boy running around plugging leaks with whatever they can find.

Agreed it is very annoying to have to go and sort through forum posts and links to social medias which I don't use just to try and find information about the game.
