These are two things I'd really like answered now.
I don't want to spend ANYMORE MC/Cbills on mechs/tech if I won't be able to use it upon switching, and I definitely don't want to bother continuing to play if my group I play with is split almost down the center on IS/Clan..

No self respecting clanner would use the junk spheroids pilot.

It'd help keep a sense of separate perspectives. Just think - you'd load up a client to operate clan tech or a client to operate inner sphere - no confusion and a chance to release more products.

Were I running the show, acceptance into the Clans would be a process that would require a very steep amount of GXP and earned Faction Loyalty points.
Also, every IS mech in that pilot's garage (except for Hero Mechs) would be made unavailable until they changed factions out of the Clans (in which case, they can still use their Clan Mechs, but cannot purchase any additional Clan Mechs or Tech), and lose a huge amount of Faction Loyalty. (If you want back in, you're going to have to work even harder.)

If you had it your way, no one that plays less than five hours a week would ever make it in this game. All of your suggestions, on EVERYTHING, just cater to hardcore players.

Wow, that's kind of an extreme statement.
Suggesting that those who play the clans be required to show a level of commitment to the game, same as is being required of the Merc Corps, draws that kind of vitrol?
Have you tried decaf?

thats a good point lol. what will the merc groups have.. ?
Well, most of us want PGI to stick to cannon right? Several Merc Corps had tech from both sides. I believe its a long way of (invasion of clans, impliment tech, impliment tonnage rescrictions) but its totaly cannon for us to have both tech. Now, I love the Timberwolf and Summoner as much as the next pilot. However, I am the type that hordes stuff, likes having different flavors, and loves experimenting with other builds. So my perfect garage wouldnt have all Clan Heavies and Assaults. The Bushwacker is one of my favorites, as is the Warhammer and Victor. I also love Timberwolf, Loki, Daishi, and Cougars. Heres how you fix it:
I think if they limited drop tonnage and come up with a point system (Mekwars) with assigned points for all mechs, then limited your drops depending on 4 man or 8 man. So a lance made up of IS mechs will be less points than a lance of Clan mechs. They will be able to drop together, however 2 lances of Clan mechs wont, unless they are of such a point value that is doesnt exceed the pre-determined amount. In example:
Team Bravo
Raven - 30 points
Hunchback - 45 points
Hunchback - 45 points
Atlas - 85 points
-------------------
200 points
Team Delta
JagerMech - 65 points
Catapult - 60 points
Highlander - 80 points
Stalker - 80 points
------------------------
285 points
-----------------------------
Total of 485 points and xxx tonnage
Cannot Drops Against
Team Falcon
Uller - 45 points
Couger - 55 points
Loki - 75 points
Daishi - 110 points
--------------------------
285 points
Team Wolf
Stormcrow - 60 points
Vulture - 75 points
Summoner - 75 points
Timberwolf - 90 points
----------------------------
300 points
---------------------------
Total of 585 points
However, Team Delta and Team Falcon COULD drop against each other.

So people who love Battletech prodominately for the clans should be exiled from playing them because they work two full time jobs? Makes sense to me.

Also make Clan Tech rediculously expensive. Like a Cougar would be 8mil, a Loki 11mil, a Timberwolf 16mil, and a Daishi 21mil.

Didn't say he was right, or that you are... just said that you came at it with both barrels, rather than plea your case as to why casuals should have an equal opportunity at Clan tech.
To which, I suggested decaf. There are a lot of brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.
