Please be less vague. Which bugs? Did they stop you from playing (actually getting stuck in the terrain) or were they simply annoying/cosmetic?

Saying "BUGS FIX THEM!!!!!1" never helps in any game.

YOu must not play then, there are plenty of map bugs, radar bugs, HUD bugs, and texture bugs

But to squash the bugs, they need the assistance of the beta testers
which all of us are and should be doing.

I have sent many bug reports so I agree with that part of your statement, but after about 6 reports or so I stopped getting 'new' bugs, so I stopped sending bug reports as often. Usually only if I get a bug on my last game of the night.

I have a very hard time believing that they NEED these reports to fix the bugs, because that implies that they have no other way of finding them. I also have a very hard time believing that they have not received multiple reports for every bug possible already.

I think it is more likely that they have not fixed the bugs because they lack something else, could be skill, time, money, or even something else. Now in no way am I suggesting that bug reports are useless, just that by now it seems to be less about helping them fix the game and more of a reminder or nag.

Hard to believe you would be here defending PGI.....of course it's the playerbase's fault that these bugs haven't been squashed yet.

Well in a beta it is somewhat us as players to report the bugs, how they happened, if they could be replicated ect in the efforts to aid the development team in fixing them.

However, most of my bugs happen at the beginning of the game so the only information I can give them is "I hit launch."

It's not the ECM or everyone carrying AMS that got me to stop playing an LRM boat, it's the fact that i drop without any HUD. so yeah this does break my game somewhat.

No mini map is still playable. However, no hud or no target designation is the worse.

Those bugs are apparently hard to find because the UI code goes EVERYWHERE.

I send the reports in every time I have a crash dump?
Why?

1) It provides new information.
2) It provides a base-line how often it happens to me.
3) Even if it doesn't provide new information, it will get annoying eventually.

Perhaps if more people would do this rather than cry in the forums,
we would see a lot more fixes to current bugs rather than experiencing
the General Discussion cesspool of rage and crying.

YMMV

You have to be just about the biggest tool on these forums.

what the **** is vague about "no minimap" or "no HUD"

The shills are paid by a post/hour formula so it make economic sense for them to spam generic "It's fine" posts in complaint threads rather than actually read the OP. If you want to blame someone, blame capitalism.

It's because of your posting format. Whenever I see a post of yours I imagine a portly pipe-scented gentleman with a large beard covered in Triscuit crumbs.

So I don't really mind personally.

Apparently ******* is a bad word so I inserted "Triscuit"

Ah.
So I am being trolled by the person calling me a tool.
Got it.
Thanks for the clarification.

alt-tab or afk or alt+f4, re-launch the game and pick another mech.
with that being said, I always have 3-4 mechs that I really love to play.
I do this everytime when I'm dropping solo. Heck, if the bugs are causing trouble and preventing me from having fun, I might as well just alt+f4 hahaha

So, you are going out of your way to derail a thread, however pointless it may be, just to insult a person, because you don't like the way he chooses to format his posts?

Really, I agree with you that his posting format is silly, But I'm not sure he's the tool in this scenario.

Also, to OP: I understand the frustration, but if you took to time to read the Dev's rather extensive posts regarding their war on bugs, you may not have felt the need to be so critical.

And, yes, I reformatted this just to annoy you.

I can still play without these. It's frustrating but possible. It sucks but it can be worked around.

This is still hyperbole.

Let's be clear "These" are the HUD and Mini-map. Sorry, if some people can't even get thee working, the game is broken for them. Who the hell wants to go walking in random directions with shooting in random directions? How can you possibly call the playable and hyperbole?

Go cheerlead for PGI somewhere else.

I didn't call Willie a tool I was explaining why the other guy didn't like him and describing what I picture in my mind when I read his posts. I even stated "I don't mind personally". Spend more time comprehending what you read and less time formatting.

Actually I think you've helped us all by illustrating exactly what a tool is.
