If you could bring one weapon to battle, what would it be? It has to be a single gun, so nothing like Link-fire Gauss Rifles.

Mine would have to be the Heavy Gauss Rifle. It's just was just so satisfying watching an enemy mech just simply keel over after being smacked around by one of them.

Dual gauss rifles and 56 rounds of ammo: Nightstar 9J . . . omigod.

If Musashi had known about this, he would have had a favorite weapon ;)

True, but you've gotta admit, some weapons just feel more fun then others ;)

The Hatchet, backed by TSM induced fury. . . Nothing quite like doing 40 damage in a single blow for demoralizing an opponent.

7 tons, 15 damage, 15 heat, 3 crits long range

Sorry
The classic medium laser is better
1 ton 5 damage, 3 heat 1 crit, medium range.

Yeah way less reach, but I can pack on 6 and an extra DHS and do twice the damage.

Amen, and that is why they are my energy weapon of choice to build up the heat to trigger TSM. . .

While I agree on the Medium Laser being the better of the two weapons (heck, best weapon in BT universe period in my opinion), the statistics you have for the Clan ERPPC are slightly off. The mass for a Clan ERPPC is 6 tons and it only takes up 2 critical slots.

That still turns into one more double heatsink and 167% of the damage for the same mass using standard medium lasers. Honestly MW4 shafted us in this.

PPCs. Preferably the Clan ER variety, but I'll take whatever I can get my hands on. Standard, light, snub-nose, heavy... the more the merrier.

There is something to be said for range though. . . A weapon with no min range, and a max in the low 20's is going to be able to engage a lot further away than a medium laser, and even at normal laser ranges you will be fighting always at close range for your gun, where the medium laser is likely to be in medium range, and hence less accurate. There is no perfect weapon, just favorites. . . and weapons that are really hard to utilize their full potential. . . like AC2's
