So he has to use an entirely different mech because this has become Poptart/sniper Online? That's not balance. That's just an excuse to keep them from nerfing anything.

Raise the heat on PPCs. That's what they should do.

The premier sniper locations (in the majority of the games i've played) are located at D5 and E6. It provides the best view of the top half of the map and provides cover while firing. Any flanking maneuver would have to start well before the enemies visual range. Taking the G row puts your team in prime position to flank up and over the ridge at F6. Even if snipers are present, the elevation at this ridge renders snipers invective.

This being said, this stratigy can be less effective if the team on the high ground has spread their forces through coloum 5 and row F. Even with this strategy, the enemy defensive line will be quite thin if spread this far. Attacking at points D5 or F6 will force the enemy to change positions, leaving the flank less defended.

Keep in mind this tactic is amusing the sniper team started at the east base. Though the basic principle is the same when approached from the other direction.

A well fit Dragon can do both; but if it is just one well-fit Dragon, well, it's just one mech.

If you want to flank and get kills, you need some fast-ish movers with good firepower, and you need your main force to keep them busy until you hit. And you need 2, 3, or 4 flankers working together. 2 Dragons with Gauss, PPC, or LL builds hitting the flank while the main force trades shots should have the firepower to get some kills and still be fast enough to reposition.

One mech in this game, even an Atlas, is just a distraction (or, usually, a target) if working alone.

the second good route is over "No Mans Land" ,and Avalanche to the "North Gate" ...perfect for Brawlers when she not stopping ...or hesitation ... the worst in MWO is to be indecisive, hesitation or not knowing to whom you now ... fires that destroyed any attack power of teams
if you can not even adjust the weapons and tactics of other players, then do not howl, then play back single-player games.
