would be happy with some F key options ( F1 form up on me; F2 fall back; F3 flank left ) although the drawing on map would be nice till some kid ( physical or mental ) puts a stupid pic on the map

Take control of your Lance. Drop some markers. Tell folks to check their Map, (if working) and see what happens. No harm, no foul... :D
