I'm not 30 but playing Twitter stalker on the developers is alien to me. The majority of this social media nonsense is in my opinion. After what we've seen here on the MWO forums and from their comments at PAX, this is not the place to be to interact for the bleeding edge of information. They've already stated that their goal is to keep this going for the long game and new blood is needed for that. Old men be damned. Otherwise the IP goes under for another 10 years.

It's perfectly understandable that they want certain sites to have exclusives or they want to farm Twatter views, but what if they just made a forum post that said "Oh hai guise, click this link to check out some cool stuff coming to MWO soon: *link*". That way, the gaming sites still get to farm views and the devs still get to farm Twatter views. It would take all of approximately one minute, and that's a conservative estimate. It would also please the forumwarriors. It's a win-win. There is absolutely no rational reason as to why such could ever be a bad thing.

It might actually let them farm views better because a player-made OP would contain a picture and description of the stuff in the link, therefore making it less imperative to click the link.

That map looks cool. Know how it could be cooler? if the mini map/battle grid would dissapear on it completely, or turn rainbow colors like atari map. or if my direction arrow would only point up, regardless of which way i was moving.

oh, and most important, dont let things like IFF or those silly crosshairs blemish my viewing of this fancy new map.

Did I mention my 11 match play session tonight had 7 matches with totally borked HUD? but at least we will get a new map for this to continue on.

They need to add a consumable that lets us call a train. Any mech it hits will be destroyed.

Upgrading said consumable lets us bring in the squaaaawk train, where every trailer car has a stationary lowtax member on it, decked out with PPCs. Fire is indiscriminate. Use at own risk.

Looking good.
There aren't any other 'moving' objects in the other maps, but it would be fun if a moving 'train' would appear on the track. Hell Yeah :-)

Hmm, I'm liking the skybox in that pic. It's just alien enough to catch the eye.

WTF! This needs to be on this website. People need a single source of info otherwise this game is going to look like a rottening corpse as it is.

It boggles my mind that PGI never posts MWO interviews, videos, or sneak peaks on their front page

We shouldn't have to dig through twitters and gaming blogs to find out information about the game. It's ******* ridiculous.

HOLY CRAP I WANT IT NOW

seriously cant wait, plus the quicker this comes out the quicker we can get a caustic variant >.>

As long as my assault mechs don't get suck on every little last railroad tie and track bar. That crap gets old fast on all the existing maps. ;)
Looking forward to the assault class step/gait fix that stops them getting stuck on every last little thing that all the other mechs with smaller legs magically traverse just fine.

Stop being a hipster nerd and sign up for twitter. It's by far the quickest, easiest and most effective way to follow things you enjoy be it MWO or any other game and figures in the culture's you care about. I understand your dislike of twitter(I was once like you suffering from hipster nerd old man feelings) but honestly as soon as you use it to follow things you care about you realize how freaking awesome it is.

Now reddit on the other hand I don't care for at all but I do understand why it's useful for doing things like interacting with the community. More people visit it and it's subforums then the main forums because let's face it. Main forums of games turn into dredge fairly quickly rarely something useful or worthwhile will float to the surface but far too infrequent for any sane mind to muck about in such places for long.

Onto the map, looks good can't wait to shoot people on it. Neat looking Daishiphractus on it too.

That is pretty wicked looking. Bryan is without a doubt the coolest dude I have ever blown up in this video game.

One critique. Instead of regular looking train rails why not come up with something that looks more like (scifi) MagLev rail.

No. The Urbie is not so foolish as to stand out in the open like that...he's actually standing right behind you, lining his AC/20 up with your azz. ;)

Urbies are Ninja, sucka!
