Macro.

Example:

6 ac/2

Weapon Group 1 : ac/2 * 1
Weapon Group 2 : ac/2 * 1
Weapon Group 3 : ac/2 * 1
Weapon Group 4 : ac/2 * 1
Weapon Group 5 : ac/2 * 1
Weapon Group 6 : ac/2 * 1

Macro is to fire weapon group 1 to weapon group 6 in quick succession, and will keep repeating the command until the player let go of the button.

There you have it. Rambo style :P

Seriously?
If chain-fire was implemented properly it would do this automatically.

6x AC/2s is only useful for the ability to annoy people with constant dakka, it's too hot, heavy, and ammo intensive.

You get a program that lets you make one mouse click a precise series of mouse clicks.

Macro. You program a button on your input device to trigger inputs for keys 1-6 with a certain wait timer in-between.

Like I said, annoying cheese. I don't think it's particularly useful just annoying.

Technically no, most folks are using macros via gaming keyboards, possibly mice.

Meanwhile, further down the General Discussion page:

Dakka-macros still don't increase RoF, so really it's just for the cool factor. While there might be some heat-mitigation, there shouldn't be any increase in DPS over group-firing, as far as I know.

This.

Each individual gun is only firing at the same rate it would. if being single-fired normally. It's considerably less useful than group-firing them, because it spread damage too much, but a helluva lot more fun. It's occasionally useful for suppressive fire, as people will tend to dodge for cover when they begin being hit repeatedly, in rapid succession. Unfortunately, most of them quickly figure out there was very little actual damage involved, and will shortly wade into your storm of DAKKA and treat you most cruelly.

The server side fire delay is also gone. Dakka is just that more DAKKA now.

The Ultra AC/5 really becomes a different weapon when you do this. It no longer jams every 5th round (sometimes, jamming on the very first round) so it can really produce a considerable DPS increase.

I think cockpit shake is very aggravating and it is real tough to kill a Quad AC/2 opponent when he is doing this. I vote that Garth has to play vs opponents such as these and provide us with his feedback. He can pilot the SDR-6MG if he so chooses.

I wrote that up this evening. It is the cool factor but its mostly the shock factor. If you can put 8 ac/2 shells per second into the face of an enemy assault they back off quick and are nearly helpless to shoot back. With the server side authorization gone there are no more misfires. Chainfire *should* be this way by default.
