The History Of Tears

On the second day.....Man cried about the Guass Cat
On the third day.....Man complained the cost of repairs on XL engines was too high
On the fourth day......While some men equiped the LRMS of god that rained death upon all, other men cried it was too OP
On the fifth day......Mankind slept in a pool of tears over the dreaded ECM
On the sixth day.....The coming of the all power splatcat, terror overtook the peoples
And on the seventh day.....God gave man the power to jump in the air and fire their weapons. No one pondered that the lord himself had already given them a jump capable sniper before the Highlander.....The CTF 3D.
1. Lagshield removed, problem solved
2. People learned to shoot the massive cockpit, config outdated due to other mechs.
3. Repairs were declared free for all
4. LRMS where buffed, then nerfed, then buffed some more and nerfed some more. Currently not in danger of OPness.
5. Lagshield removed, ravens actually recieve damage, raven population ravaged
6. Out dated config, see answer 2. Also the introduction of sniper configs
7. Give it time young ones. The answer will be revealed.
7 times men have cried out in despair. 7 times the power that be have corrected it.
RELAX PEOPLE!

Large Laser are to weak
And the Streak Cat
And the PPC Fiasko
The GaussCat is still viable...and the real reason for its less apearance is the fragility of the Gauss itself...but that hurt Mechs like Hunchback and Atlas more.
There was much more crying... some with reasons, some just because they are used to a specific behaviour.... hard to say who is right and who is wrong

IMO the splat cat is outdone by the Jagermech arm mountable slots and even the CTF 4X seems to pull it off better. at the end of the day the catapult always dies to cockpit shots

The imbalance of SSRM relative to the durability of light mechs, especially when equipped by other light mechs which also carry ECM, such as the Raven 3l.

See here's the problem, most of these have been and/or are being addressed and that's great. The problem is we've seen buff after buff to weapons w/out regarding to game play. The game was WILDLY more fun at the pace it had in late-ish closed beta. Since then the only thing that has been nerfed is missiles and Gauss rifles, although GR has had the HSR implementation be an indirect buff so that may be a wash... And now people complain poptards and PPC boats are killing people too quickly. Well it's not JUST the current meta weapons, it was SRMS and Boomcats before, consider that when we thought the game was balanced the pin-point ranged alpha was 30 damage, so let's get PPC heat up a bit, maybe .5 to 1 heat per. Let's consider small energy weapons heat to come down .25 to .5 per shot... Let's address missiles a bit, and see what the landscape looks like for a while. Please consider the problem of constant buffs radically changing the game pace and therefore the meta.

The light mech community has been utterly savaged by hit box fixes and state rewind.

TO be fair the Jenner's actually are broken, the CT wraps around the back, there is no way to shade it.
I still run my Raven successfully.

Some of those things change BECAUSE of the players voicing their opinion.
PGI has stated themselves, that they monitor the forums and take closer looks at issues that arise often, in multiple threads and for an ongoing period of time.
Being a developer, I can tell you: You WANT that feedback from the player.
That is why I say: DO NOT RELAX, but keep posting and help to identify issues that PGI cannot see (for any number of reasons, be it time due to workload, or organizational blindness due to familiarization).
However, post in a polite manner. The childish accusations and rude tone is nothing anyone needs and it neither helps the players nor the devs.
